Sloane Stephens has not played a grass court match in two years.

To come out and play against Petra Kvitova, who played a ton of matches in Germany, Stephens looked very comfortable in her movement.

    Consistent, very balanced!

  2. 'Rock solid Stephens'published at 16:57 BST 28 June 2021

    Kivitova 3-6 Stephens

Two Grand Slam winners are going at it on Centre Court and with a clench of the fist Sloane Stephens walks to her chair one set up against Petra Kvitova.

The pair each broke serve in the opening two games but Stephens found another break in game six and closed out 6-3.

The American is ranked 63 places below Kviotva but has been rock solid.

    Swan 3-6 4-5 Keys*

Good depth from the Brit and Madison Keys leaks a forehand a long way wide. Katie Swan follows up with an ace for 30-0 and then another wrist-rattling effort flies off the 22-year-old's strings.

This for a love hold? You bet. Wonderful service game.

  4. Tsitsipas holdspublished at 16:55 BST 28 June 2021

    Tsitsipas 4-6 4-6 3-4 Tiafoe*

Another hard-fought hold of serve for Tiafoe, who survives a break point just as Tsitsipas thinks he's prised open a way back into the contest.

No such problems for Tsitsipas on his serve, the Greek gathering himself to stay in contention.

    *Swan 3-6 3-5 Keys

Thwack. A thunderous ace from Madison Keys to kick off her service game, the American has her eye in now. One effort Katie Swan does get back is smothered by a confident forehand winner from Keys and she holds. Swan will serve to stay in the championships.

  6. Briton out...published at 16:53 BST 28 June 2021

    Burrage 2-6 1-6 Davis

One Briton has felt the pain of exit in the last few minutes.

Jodie Burrage - in her first Grand Slam - lost in 55 minutes to American Lauren Davis. Davis eased to a 6-2 6-1 win.

Davis was good on her serve, winning 85% of first serve points, and she took five break points from five.

Swan hasn't lost a point when her first serve has gone in... it just hasn't gone in very much!

Snappy hold for Katie Swan, no messing around there. She remains a break down but is making Madison Keys work.

  9. What can Swan do against that serve?published at 16:51 BST 28 June 2021

You have to take Key's serve early - to nullify the spin - if you can.

Easy to say... hard to do!

    *Swan 3-6 2-4 Keys

Madison Keys fires down her seventh ace of the match... and then her second double fault. Tricky game, hey. The American follows up with a sweeping forehand winner but can do nothing to stop a pinpoint return from Katie Swan, kissing the chalk and leaping away. It's a brief blemish on the road to another hold for the 23rd seed.

    Swan 3-6 2-3 Keys*

Lovely from Katie Swan, a superbly constructed point as she gets Madison Keys running shuttles like a PE teacher dishing out the bleep test and then puts the American out of her misery with a deft volleyed winner to hold.

  13. Tsitsipas holdspublished at 16:44 BST 28 June 2021

    Tsitsipas 4-6 4-6 2-3 Tiafoe*

After a fourth deuce, Tiafoe secures what feels like a huge hold of serve to move 3-1 ahead in the third set.

The American is three games away from causing a big upset on Court One against an out-of-sorts Tsitsipas.

Can the Greek produce a stunning fightback? He loses his first point on serve but takes the next four to remain one game behind.

For me, the only big difference at Wimbledon this year is Henman Hill.

Usually, fans would be desperately searching for any gap they could find to take a seat, but this year, there is plenty of space.

    *Swan 3-6 1-3 Keys

Katie Swan might just sense a break of her own here, at 0-30 for the first time in the match, but she cups a Madison Keys second serve into the net and then punches a backhand into the tramlines.

A forehand into the opposite set follows and Keys makes it four successive points to hold.

  16. Key's firepowerpublished at 16:39 BST 28 June 2021

The trouble is Swan doesn't hit the ball as hard as Keys so she's not staying in the point as often as she could.

But she's sticking at it... and that's all you can do.

    Swan 3-6 1-2 Keys*

That's the serve! Some angle on it from the Brit, catching the chalk and forcing Madison Keys to plod a forehand into the guts of the net. A big hold from Katie Swan to keep within touching distance of the American.

    *Swan 3-6 0-2 Keys

Madison Keys accelerates to 40-0 before Katie Swan meets a slower second serve with a superb down-the-line forehand winner. The next is loose and long though, and Keys backs up the break.

  19. Tiafoe in control against Tsitsipaspublished at 16:34 BST 28 June 2021

    Tsitsipas 4-6 4-6 1-2 Tiafoe*

World number four Stefanos Tsitsipas is in big, big trouble on Court One.

The Greek is two sets down, and now also a break down in the third against Frances Tiafoe.

The impressive Tiafoe consolidates his break with a hold to love, but Tsitsipas is able to get himself up and running in the next game.

Tiafoe is really enjoying himself out there and is in firm control of this match. The question is, can he maintain this level?

Swan just a bit tentative. I thought she had Keys on the run - just needed to be a bit more punchy on that volley.
