Thiem's pick up from the baseline is phenomenal - worth his mother getting another tattoo just for that. He ends up losing the point though.

Alexander Zverev speaking to Amazon Prime: "I'm extremely happy to be in my first Grand Slam final. There's still one more match - the two guys coming up are extremely difficult to beat. It doesn't matter who I will play, it's going to be difficult.
I looked at the scoreboard I'm down 6-3 5-0. On paper I'm supposed to be the favourite. I gotta do something. It was getting to a point it was embarrassing. I had to start playing better.
"I have a 5-1 record against one (Medvedev) and a 2-7 record against the other (Thiem). But Dominic is looking to get into his first US Open final too, so I'm rooting for him."

Giles Joiner: Fair to say that the better matches in the us open this year have been in the women singles
US Open finalist Alexander Zverev: "I looked at the scoreboard and it said 'two sets to love'. I looked and said to myself, 'no chance'.
The conditions were different today. The ball wasn't as fast but I'm through to my first Grand Slam final and that's all that matters.
"I knew I had to play better. It's the first time I've come from two sets to love down and win. I couldn't be happier to do it.
"I wasn't winning too many second serve points. I had to be more aggressive and it turned out well for me.
"I'll watch the next match. The boys might play a long match too. I can't wait until the final."

Celebrations for Alex Zverev as he reaches a first Grand Slam final. Celebrations for the rest of the world that the semi-final is over.
To be fair to Zverev - however bad the first two sets, that was a big effort to come from two sets to love down and rediscover his serve in such style.

Fair play to Alexander Zverev. Two of the worst sets of tennis I’ve ever seen to go 0-2 down, but he persevered and worked his way back to win from that position for the first time in his career.

Zverev goes to his seat and affords himself a smile. Disbelief?

Another shot into the net and Zverev comes from two sets down to reach his first Grand Slam final.
Incredible.

No. A great flat forehand winner.

Zverev goes wide with a forehand from the baseline - bit of a loose shot from the German.
But he brings up match point as PCB's pick-up at the net is wide.
Is this it?

Two forehand errors and it's 15-30.
