John McEnerney: I’m sure even Kei wants to see a Fed v Rafa semi-final but he’s making Roger work for it. Once Fed gets his nose in front it’ll be tough for Nishikori to reel him in but over the years Roger sometimes seems to make it difficult for himself. This could go the distance!

This is high quality tennis now.

Overall, Roger was better. He played a more compact game, adapted to the great strategy of Nishikori, who had a chance to break back and even it out.

Spectacular rally! - Williams grabs the point

What has Serena Williams learnt about her doubles partner Andy Murray this week?

"I just love Andy's spirit," she said. "It's so much fun to play with him. He's so calm and chilled. I loved having the support. It was amazing. Hopefully I can still have it."To play on this stage with Andy, who has done so well here for so many years, is literally just a lifetime experience. I'm so happy that I got to experience it."It's fun to get to know him as well because, like he said, we don't really know each other that well. It's cool to see people you see on TV and you watch and study, to actually be on the same side as them, to pick their brain a little bit, to help them out, it's a really cool feeling."
