Three-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC TV

David Goffin is so fast he almost over runs it. He gets there in plenty of time.

You don't want to be hitting a whole lot of drop shots against him, as quick as he is.

    *Djokovic 3-3 Goffin

    30-0.

Tennis legend Rod Laver then gives the 'Laver Nod of Approval' as Goffin produces a looping topspin forehand winner.

    30-15.

    30s each.

    *Djokovic 3-3 Goffin

Both players are stretched to their physical limits. Goffin sprints to produce a brilliant angled return but Djokovic somehow delivers a winner with grazes the baseline.

    Incredible athleticism.

    All that for 15-0.

Djokjovic does superbly well to get to Goffin's cross-court drop-shot and find a winner

I was surprised Djokovic left that volley when he had an open court - and he can't believe he did either. "Why did I do that?!"

    Djokovic 3-2 Goffin*

What a stunning shot on the run from Djoko as the ball dips over the cord leaving Goffin with a difficult volley he cannot return.

    The number one seed holds.

Two tests on his serve so far, but he has come through both.

  14. Break points for Pella and Bautista Agutpublished at 13:30 BST 10 July 2019

    Pella 2-3 Bautista Agut*

Bautista Agut has come out flying on Court One.

After twice hitting long on his previous service game, handing Pella the chance to break back, Bautista Agut rallies to take the game and then races into a love-40 lead on the Argentine's serve.

Unshaken, a steely Pella produces two aces in a crucial comeback to stay within touching distance in the opening set.

    *Djokovic 2-2 Goffin

    John McEnroe

Djokovic is going to get a lot more balls back than almost anyone else you play, you have to presume that ball is coming back and do something about it. So far Goffin's forehand has been the superior of the two players.

I've just had a chat with Australia cricketer Ellyse Perry, who is making the most of her time in England for the women's Ashes by getting Centre Court tickets today.

"I've never been to Wimbledon before but there is such an exciting day ahead," she tells me.

"I'm most looking forward to watching Roger Federer play. I love the way that he carries himself, combined with just how tremendous he is at tennis.

"He just makes for the most complete and incredible athlete. He's incredibly inspirational so it will be really nice to see him play in real life."
