    Kyrgios 3-6 1-0 *Nadal

Nick Kyrgios lands all five of his first serves, chalks up two aces and holds to 15.

When he is in that service groove, he looks untouchable.

Can he keep it up and also get stuck into the Nadal tee-off?

Strongly suspect Rafael Nadal wanted to wind up Nick Kyrgios more than he wanted a tinkle.

    And he's hit the target.

We talk about Rafael Nadal as one of the greatest of all time.

He has earned his right to be a little different.

You have to earn that position.

    *Kyrgios 3-6 0-0 Nadal

Rafael Nadal puts his hand up and asked to be excused for a bathroom break at the end of the first set.

Nick Kyrgios definitely wouldn't have given him the hall pass.

"I'm serving next and he chooses to go now?" he asks the umpire.

Nadal is back and sits down. Kyrgios stands up immediately and is poised at the back of court.

David Jones: Kyrgios is 100% correct. Don’t know why everyone just blindly accepts having to play at Nadal’s laborious pace - presumably because he’s won a lot. Server sets the pace. Them’s the rules

Jamie Brilley: Kyrgios is right about Nadal taking too long between serves. Would the umpire put up with it if the roles were reversed?

    *Kyrgios 3-6 0-0 Nadal

Rafael Nadal jams a serve into the body of Nick Kyrgios and then pats away a volley to close out the set.

This is a long, long way from over though. Don't touch the dial.

Don't make him angry. Nadal laughs the sort of laugh you would do before you start to turn green after watching Kyrgios embarrass him with the underarm serve.

Unless he's laughing because he knows he's winding Kyrgios up.

Pretty sure I heard a few boos from the Wimbledon purveyors of etiquette...

    Kyrgios 3-5 *Nadal

First point, Nick Kyrgios challenges an out call on a first serve. Hawkeye shows it is marginally long.

A 143mph second-serve ace follows to pantomine jeers.

40-0 via a mighty lassooing forehand.

And an underarm serve that sneaks over the net to tap twice to round off the game!

It was that tactic that irritated Nadal in Mexico earlier this year.
