Some smashing forehands push each other back deeper and deeper until Keys unleashes a ferocious double-handed backhand winner.

She holds to love.

Two excellent forehands from Osaka as she opens her shoulders to swing it across court before smashing into the opposite space.
Another smart forehand lands on the baseline behind Keys but the American's thumping return takes the paint off the line on her next return.
Osaka then whips a service winner.

Another excellent rally ends in a cross-court volley from Keys which Osaka won't reach.
Osaka pulls out a huge serve which forces Keys into the splits. Deuce again!

Keys immediately responds to take the advantage. She returns the next serve and approaches the net but Osaka pulls out a sublime backhand pass down the line.

Osaka serves out wide but Keys smashes an unbelievable forehand winner.
