Tyrone don't want to start trying to force goalscoring opportunities. If they can fashion one and it comes along they need to take it but until then they must keep the scoreboard ticking over and remain in touch.

  2. No errors afforded for Tyronepublished at 16:45 BST 2 September 2018

    Dublin 2-11 Tyrone 0-11

Cathal McShane reduces the deficit back to six but, at the risk of stating the obvious, they need goals.

Connor McAliskey is replaced by Ritchie Donnelly. They need their bench to get up to speed straight away here.

Donnelly attempts to grab a point straight away but it goes wide. Score for score so far in the second half.

Niall Sludden still hasn't found his range and goes wide once more. Dublin look to launch a quick attack but it's stopped wonderfully by Padraig Hampsey.

Peter Harte wins a free and Lee Brennan steps up to hit it off the deck. The Trillick man makes no mistake, over the black spot it goes.

That controversial penalty seems to have completely knocked the stuffing out of Tyrone. From a couple of looks at the replay, it certainly looks as though Conor Lane got the decision wrong. But Tyrone should have been able to respond better than they have.

If the Dubs get a couple of quick scores after the break, we are going to be looking at a repeat of last year's semi-final drubbing.

  12. Big Tyrone names kept quietpublished at 16:29 BST 2 September 2018

    Dublin 2-07 Tyrone 0-06

We said before the game that Niall Sludden and Mattie Donnelly would have big roles to play if Tyrone could pull off an upset.

Neither has been able to influence proceedings thus far, with no points between the two of them. Peter Harte is operating in the full forward line and has just one, a free.

Tyrone need to come out of the traps flying in the second half, or else it's curtains.

Mickey Harte gathers his players together for an immediate huddle before they run off to the dressing-room. He's going to have to deliver the mother of all team talks to get his side back into this game.

Peter Harte is involved in an off-the-ball incident with John Small who collapses onto the ground, but the referee doesn't brandish any type of card.

It started so well for Tyrone, who led by four early on. But from then on, it was all Dublin.

Ruthless, efficient, brilliant Dublin. They lead by seven.

There is a complete change in the atmosphere at Croke Park. I didn't think Dublin would turn the tables just as quickly as they have. The penalty decision handed them a massive lifeline and the second goal was a real killer for Tyrone. Tyrone need to steady themselves and their leaders need to step up to the plate. Tyrone heads are spinning - everything was going right, now it's going all wrong. The first 15 minutes were played on Tyrone's terms, now they are being played on Dublin's terms. You can sense the Tyrone heads going down a bit - Dublin punish you so hard for small mistakes and Tyrone have probably been punished more than they deserved. Dublin are well on top and Tyrone are a team that is ready for the dressing room.

  19. Cavanagh gets luckypublished at 16:08 BST 2 September 2018

    Dublin 2-07 Tyrone 0-06

Colm Cavanagh drags down Con O'Callaghan and is lucky to avoid a black card.

Dean Rock pops over the free with ease and this is looking bleak for Tyrone with a minute until the break.

  20. Tyrone lost early rhythmpublished at 16:06 BST 2 September 2018

    Dublin 2-06 Tyrone 0-06

Kieran McGeary rushes a shot and his effort is wide, Tyrone's sixth of the half.

Same at the other end as Jack McCaffrey breaks into the 45 at break-neck speed again. Niall Morgan has lost the rhythm he had with kick-outs early on.
