Arsenal didn't finish the way they would have hoped for before the winter break.

They were on the receiving end of a north London derby defeat by Tottenham in their final league fixture and have slipped off the pace at the top of the table.

Jonas Eidevall's side are three points behind league leaders Chelsea going into this weekend's games, with Chelsea playing Manchester United tomorrow.

They will hope to kick off 2024 in a more positive fashion, and history is on their side.

The Gunners have come out on top in each of their previous 18 meetings with Everton.

Will it be another victory for Arsenal this afternoon?

It's a must from their perspective if they are to avoid falling too far off the pace.

    The WSL is back!

After a four-week winter break, the teams got themselves up and running again in the FA Cup last weekend but now it is back to league action.

The cold weather threatened to delay things a little longer but after a pitch inspection at Meadow Park this morning, today's game between title-chasing Arsenal and eighth-placed Everton goes ahead.

With both sides after a result to set the tone for the second half of the season, this should be a cracking game.
