An injury problem for Manchester United as Antony may well have gone over on his ankle in a challenge by Trevoh Chalobah, with the Chelsea man looking like he got some of the ball.

Casemiro has proved to be excellent at getting on the end of set pieces and Christian Eriksen is clearly superb at taking them.

However, Chelsea's defence wasn't tight enough on the Brazilian.

There was no real attempt to block Casemiro, no-one trying to impede his run.

I can't believe his long time international colleague Thiago Silva would have allowed that if he had been on the pitch.

A chance for a Chelsea equaliser and Kai Havertz squares a pass but the ball is just ahead of England midfielder Conor Gallagher, who can't get a foot on it.

Casemiro also got the only goal against Bournemouth at the weekend and has scored in successive league appearances for the first time since February 2019 while at Real Madrid.

It was a great delivery, an inswinging free kick. Casemiro leaves his run late, right through the centre. It's really, really tight.

A great chance for Chelsea's Mykhailo Mudryk, he's eight yards out unmarked, central and all he has to do is make a clean connection but he makes a right hash of it, slicing the ball away from goal. Shocking finish and he should've done better.

Lewis Hall had done well with a low cross from the left, but Mudryk had to hit the target from there.

Chelsea teenager Carney Chukwuemeka looks to capitalise on a slip from Victor Lindelof and the 19-year-old tries to send his shot into the top corner, but gets too much on it and it ends up with the fans behind the goal.

It's a good start to the game and it's 100 miles per hour.

It's a frantic start and Jadon Sancho has a chance, but Cesar Azpilicueta is well-placed to see the ball behind for a corner for the hosts, but it comes to nothing.
