Dundee United 0-2 Celtic
Celtic are still hogging the ball, only the pace has dipped significantly with their defenders no longer in such a hurry to get it forward.
I believe the term is game management.

Dundee United 0-2 Celtic
Dundee United follow Celtic's lead with a triple change of their own.
Peter Pawlett, Arnaud Djoum and Rory MacLeod come on to replace Glenn Middleton, Steven Fletcher and Dylan Levitt.
Dundee United 0-2 Celtic
The hosts are plugging away gamely and Steven Fletcher goes for an ambitious, first-time effort on the turn from a long way out. Joe Hart is wise to it though.

Jota, Aaron Mooy and Reo Hatate are off for a rest, with Daizen Maeda, Matt O'Riley and David Turnbull on.

United fans have seen this movie recently. It's just a few weeks ago that their side went into the break at 0-0 with Rangers and then they were sunk by a couple of quick goals.
At the moment, they can barely get a touch.

It's been pointed out that Freeman had already been booked. Should he not have been booked for a deliberate handball in the box?
Aaron Mooy (pen)
The keeper is away early and Aaron Mooy slots the spot-kick down the middle.

Yup. A very brief check of the monitor. Freeman's arm came up towards the ball at the edge of the area.
He gets away without a second booking.

Handball from Kieran Freeman. It's looks nailed on.

I don't know who was tracking Jota at the back post, but it looks like he gave up on it. However, Jota did well to finish it.
Jota
Mark Birighitti can't follow the flight of Aaron Mooy's cross from the right and Jota is able to cushion in a back-post header from a tight angle.
Deft.
But should the keeper be doing better?

Ouch! Kieran Freeman gives Greg Taylor a boot on the ankle.

We did say at half time, the intensity of defending that United were doing in the first half might be lacking after they came out, and it certainly was there. Celtic just cut through the middle and Jota managed to pick it up, and it wasn't that far wide.

Glenn Middleton latches on to a flick from Steven Fletcher but Carl Starfelt is over swiftly to snuff out the danger.

Jota slaloms his way through four United defenders before thrashing an angled strike just wide of the far post.

Here we go for the second half.
No changes in personnel.

The goalkeeper will always go for the ball in that area. I was surprised he gave the penalty but is it an obvious error (from the referee)?

For me, VAR is working and that is a good decision. The half-time team talk has to be like a crescendo for United. You have to get them right to start the second half the way they finished the first.

Here's a still of the incident.
Did Mark Birighitti catch Kyogo with his left glove before punching away with his right?
It's very tight, but referee Don Robertson changed his mind about awarding the penalty after watching a few replays.

It's been all Celtic, but no goals.
