This won’t be a good game. Wolves will make sure of that with their constant passing backwards.

"We know Fulham have good players and a good manager and they are in a good moment.

"Fulham are a good defensive team and that's why they are competitive. We have a hard task ahead of us but we have to show ambition."

Fulham boss Marco Silva says dreaming of feats such as securing a place in a European competition is "for the fans".

"I am not the guy that dreams too much, I am ambitious - of course I am - but I think we are showing that on the pitch, our ambition and our desire," Silva said.

"To dream is for our fans. For us it's game by game and you have to go each game to prepare our players as best we can with full ambition to win the football match."

    Fulham

Fulham manager Marco Silva speaking to Sky Sports: "We are really pleased and proud of how we have been playing and the points we've achieved.

"We are always looking to get three points in the next game, it's the Premier League and we always need to focus on the next game.

On starting with Carlos Vinicius: "You like to have a number nine there as a reference and tonight we need that with Vinicius. We are trying to control the game, link going forwards and finish in the box."

On the importance of Andreas Pereira: "He [Pereira] is one of the key players for us. When we lost Fabio Carvalho to Liverpool, we needed to find a new player in that role and Pereira can do that.

"We saw in him the characteristics to play that role and he's enjoying that position.

"I'm sure he can be more decisive in the future too."

On enjoying success from set-pieces: "We spend time and we will spend more time training set-pieces. Without good takers and good players to attack it can be difficult but we work hard on them."

  17. 'Lopetegui is a top-level coach'published at 19:23 GMT 24 February 2023

    Wolves

Wolves captain Ruben Neves tells Sky Sports: "I think he [Lopetegui] is a top-level coach with a lot of experience and he's worked with the best footballers in the world.

"He already knew what he wanted to change when he came here. He knew everything about the club.

"One of the biggest differences is the intensity in training and in matches."

On facing Joao Palhinha: "It's really hard to play against him, he's a fantastic player and one of the most important players for Fulham.

"He can attack and stop the transitions of opponents but we'll do our best to break them down and get the three points."

On tightening up defensively: "It's massive in the Premier League to not concede goals. That's our main target and we always talk about it in the dressing room.

"We are also working hard to try and score more goals too."

Craig Dawson says settling in at Wolves has been "quite easy" and that manager Julen Lopetegui keeps his side "on their toes".

The defender joined Wanderers from West Ham for £3.3m in January and has started the past three games for the club, scoring on his debut against Liverpool.

"The move was talked about in the summer and it didn’t quite happen, but we got there in the end," he said.

"The January window doesn’t give you much time to settle in, but I was delighted that we were able to get it over the line and get started straight away.

"Settling in was quite easy and the first game against Liverpool, 3-0, it makes everything a lot easier. It’s been a good start and it’s a great group to be part of - one that wants to work hard and has a top, top quality manager as well, but the lads have all been great.

"It’s a really good group, a really tight-knit group and they all welcomed me very well and have been really helpful. But that’s the spirit we need now for the rest of the season. We need to stick together as a group, no matter what the results, we keep focused and working hard together as a team."

  19. 'Fulham are flying'published at 19:17 GMT 24 February 2023

    .

I thought Wolves had turned a corner under Julen Lopetegui, so I certainly didn't see them losing to Bournemouth last weekend.

In contrast, Fulham got a great result with their win at Brighton and Marco Silva's side are flying at the moment. For them to be sixth and chasing a European spot is just amazing.

They are without their top scorer Aleksandar Mitrovic, who has a hamstring problem, but they are at home and, even without him, I think they will find a way to win.

Underlining just how impressive this season has been for Fulham, a win would give them 41 points - the highest tally by a promoted team after 25 fixtures of a 38-match Premier League season.

Their solitary defeat in 17 league games this season against teams currently below them in the table came at West Ham in October.

However, Wolves are a bit of a bogey team for them. Their last five meetings with them have ended in three defeats and two draws, scoring just one goal in the process.
