Nottingham Forest v Aston Villa (20:00 BST)

This is how it stands in the Premier League. Forest need a six-goal win to move out of the bottom three, but will definitely jump above Wolves and Leicester with a victory.

Aston Villa will move into the top half, above Liverpool, with a win.

  4. Thanks for joining uspublished at 18:48 BST 10 October 2022

Hello and welcome along to BBC Sport's coverage of the Premier League fixture between Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa from the City Ground.

Kick-off for this one is at 20:00 BST.

  5. Big game at the bottom of the tablepublished at 18:44 BST 10 October 2022

It has been a mixed week for Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper, as he watched on as his side were beaten by East Midlands rivals Leicester 4-0 seven days ago.

That left Forest rooted to the bottom of the table, but the club's owners then showed their support for the man who had guided them to an incredible promotion last season, by giving Cooper a new long-term contract.

Can Cooper repay that faith in him tonight? It's another team from the Midlands, in the form of Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa up against them today. Both sides very much need the three points so it should be a good one.
