With the box I'm talking about, when Mason Mount and Hakim Ziyech come infield they entice the Brighton full-backs, which opens the space for Callum Hudson-Odoi and Romelu Lukaku. We speak about getting the best out of Lukaku - if they get that right he should run the channels and he will be in all day then.

Jakub Moder wins it high up for Brighton. It comes across to Pascal Gross in the middle and he immediately flicks it on for Danny Welbeck. It just races away from him in the box but that was a nice idea...

Romelu Lukaku is the target with a long ball from Chelsea but he's got two defenders around him. Mason Mount and N'Golo Kante are following up the loose ball but can't quite bundle their way into the box.

This formation Tuchel keeps playing doesn't work. Put someone upfront with Lukaku, he doesn't play back to goal, never has. I'd put everything on another Chelsea draw because we are completely toothless in attack.

First attack for Chelsea. Cesar Azpilicueta cuts it back to Hakim Ziyech but he's quickly pushed back.

Ziyech then tries to curl it into Romelu Lukaku but it's a poor ball which is easily cleared by Brighton.

Thiago Silva might have a little problem as he's gestured to the bench. Thomas Tuchel acknowledges it but the Chelsea defender has carried on for the time being.

Chelsea are playing four at the back and then like a box in midfield and attack. Like a 4-2-2-2, but I didn't want to say it.

    Brighton 0-0 Chelsea

Nice. Marc Cucurella nips in to steal the ball in the middle. Joel Veltman finds Tariq Lamptey but his early cross is half-cleared.

It then comes to Jakub Moder just inside the box but he drags the shot inches wide.

Dan Burn sends it long for Danny Welbeck but he can't do anything to control it. Chelsea look to play it out from the back and Jorginho is immediately put under pressure. It goes back to Kepa who quickly kicks it downfield.

    Brighton v Chelsea (20:00 GMT)

    Chris Hughton
Former Brighton boss on BBC Radio 5 Live

When I joined Brighton they were in the bottom three of the Championship, but it didn't feel like they should have been there. They were a very well-run club and they have used this period in the Premier League to develop. Recruitment has been their strength. It's got better and better and now they have got a great combination of players that have been there and done it, with players they have brought in. They have properly kicked on and look like a team that can compete in any game.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel to BT Sport: "We had some cup games against Tottenham to play so I think it's four games in a row now with only two days in between.

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton boss Graham Potter speaking to BT Sport: "We've slightly changed. As always, it's a different game. We had a good performance at Stamford Bridge but it doesn't count for anything tonight.

"Results help because it gives you a bit of confidence and belief. I don't think too much has changed since last year. It's amazing what a bit of belief does. We've had a few more goals and we believe in what we're doing.

"We know we have a really tough game tonight. The Premier League is tough so you have to keep going until the end."

    Brighton v Chelsea (20:00 GMT)

Brighton are winless in 16 attempts against Chelsea since beating them in the FA Cup in their first meeting in January 1933.

Chelsea's 13-match unbeaten league run in this fixture is their longest against a particular opponent without ever losing.

Three of the past four Premier League encounters have been drawn, including 1-1 at Stamford Bridge on 29 December.
