  1. Where's the next win coming from?published at 13:45 GMT 31 October 2021

Norwich come into this game on a winless streak of 19 Premier League games, in which they have scored three goals and conceded 47.

Seven of those conceded goals came last weekend when they were absolutely hammered at Stamford Bridge by Chelsea. That result matched their joint-heaviest defeat in the Premier League, with them having also lost 7-0 to Manchester City in 2013.

It was a result described as 'disgraceful' and 'embarrassing' for the club's fans by Canaries sporting director Stuart Webber...

    Mark Lawrenson
    BBC football expert

Let's face it, things do not look very good for Norwich right now after their capitulation against Chelsea last weekend, and it is hard to see them improving much in the coming months.

Leeds have been slow off the mark themselves, and given their form, this should be a home game for Norwich to target to win. I don't see that happening though.

    Prediction: 0-2

  3. 'We want to play on the front-foot'published at 13:42 GMT 31 October 2021

    Norwich v Leeds (14:00 GMT)

Norwich boss Daniel Farke, speaking to Sky Sports: "We are not happy with just two points after nine games especially after conceding so many goals in the last game.

"We need to focus on this game now and as a promoted side you need to win your home games. We want to go for it and get the points.

"We know we are facing a Leeds side that plays with lots of intensity and movement. We have to be disciplined and patient, but we want to play on the front-foot."

A comfortable win for one, a snatched draw from the jaws of victory for another and a humbling defeat for the third.

Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City showed yesterday that all results are possible on an afternoon of gripping, see-saw and dramatic Premier League football.

To think, all last week the media were occupied with the future of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

What is most worrying for Nuno's position at Spurs is that the fans have so visibly and audibly turned on him. Solskjaer's team were abject at home against Liverpool, but there wasn't as mutinous an atmosphere from the home fans as there were in north London yesterday evening.

    But that's enough of that.

Just a bit of further business from yesterday to deal with - the mixed fortunes of the top three...

  9. 'Nuno not cut slack in sour Spurs atmosphere'published at 13:31 GMT 31 October 2021

    Phil McNulty
    BBC Sport chief football writer

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have known just how Nuno Espirito Santo felt as Tottenham's manager stared out blankly at thousands of vacated seats towards the end of a humiliating home defeat.

It was only six days ago that Manchester United manager Solskjaer was suffering similar emotions as Liverpool inflicted a 5-0 humiliation at Old Trafford.

After a week in which every aspect of Solskjaer's work and record was pored over with forensic zeal, he survived to inflict pain on Nuno and Spurs with a 3-0 victory that lifts the clouds gathering over the Norwegian, at least temporarily.

There was, however, one significant difference between last weekend and this. And after a Spurs display that was dreadful and deadly dull, that key difference signalled an ominous warning for Nuno.

Manchester United's fans, no matter how they were feeling as their team went down without a fight against Liverpool, did not turn publicly on their manager. Yes, many left before the end, but the dissent aimed at Solskjaer personally was hardly mutinous.

Nuno was cut no such slack in a hostile, sour atmosphere at Spurs.

Poor Nuno Espirito Santo. All those people turned up at the Tottenham Stadium yesterday evening ready to put the boot into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and instead it was the Spurs boss who got a royal kicking.

In fairness, Spurs were awful. It's not the losing that cuts deepest, but the fact they didn't even appear like they were trying to win.

Things turned really toxic for Nuno when he replaced Lucas Moura with Steven Bergwijn in the second half - a move that prompted boos and chants of 'you don't know what you're doing'.

  11. 'Norwich aren't getting it right'published at 13:24 GMT 31 October 2021

    Norwich v Leeds (14:00 GMT)

    Nedum Onuoha
Former Manchester City defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Norwich conceded a ton of goals but they have scored two goals in nine games, that is not going to give you any chance in this division. They don't seem to be getting it right at either end. As a consequence the criticism is going to be there.

  12. 'Norwich need a good performance'published at 13:20 GMT 31 October 2021

    Norwich v Leeds (14:00 GMT)

    Alan Hutton
Former Scotland defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

It looks like they are too good for the Championship but not able to compete in the Premier League. They are conceding far too many goals and have only scored two; there lies the problem. They are going into a month of fixtures where there is an opportunity to pick up points. If they want to do anything in this league, they need to start with a good performance today.

  13. 'I don't see Norwich hurting teams'published at 13:17 GMT 31 October 2021

    Norwich v Leeds (14:00 GMT)

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

When they came up last time I remember Norwich beating Manchester City and you could see where they could pick up points along the way.

I don't see that at the minute. I don't see how they are going to hurt teams or how they are going to get their first victory.

I always hate to question people's desire but when you are getting beat 7-0 in the manner that they did, it was obvious they were there to be beaten.

They have to start identifying games they can pick up points and start throwing punches. They have hardly created any opportunities.

If you don't score goals you will always get relegated.

  14. 'Great opportunity for Norwich'published at 13:16 GMT 31 October 2021

    Norwich v Leeds (14:00 GMT)

    Alan Hutton
Former Scotland defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

It is a great opportunity for Norwich to get the win and get off the bottom of the table. Sometimes you need that momentum to push you on a little bit.

Kalvin Phillips' inclusion is, of course, a huge plus for the visitors. He brings so much to the centre of that Leeds midfield.

Be interesting to see if they go three or four at the back. Marcelo Bielsa plays three when the opposition have two up top. Centre-back Pascal Struijk's ability to play defensive midfielder means the line-up is versatile enough to switch during the game.

Further forward, Daniel James spent much of the first-half against Wolves in the centre-forward position. It didn't really work. Will they try that again here, with Patrick Bamford still missing?

    Norwich v Leeds (14:00 GMT)

Sounds like Milot Rashica could be playing left wing-back for Norwich, who are again going three at the back. The Kosovan is usually an outright winger.

No Billy Gilmour either. That might perplex a few.

In come Kieran Dowell, Milot Rashica and 19-year-old Andrew Omobamidele.

Billy Gilmour, who is available after being ineligible to face his parent club last week, is on the bench.

Norwich XI: Krul, Kabak, Hanley, Omobamidele, Aarons, Dowell, Normann, McLean, Rashica, Sargent, Pukki.

Subs: Rupp, Gilmour, Placheta, Tzolis, Lees-Melou, Williams, Gunn, Giannoulis, Idah.

One change for Leeds from the side that started the 1-1 draw with Wolves last week.

Kalvin Phillips comes in for Mateusz Klich, who starts on the bench.

Leeds are still without Patrick Bamford, Luke Ayling and Robin Koch due to injuries.

Leeds XI: Meslier, Llorente, Struijk, Cooper, Shackleton, Phillips, Dallas, Raphinha, James, Harrison, Rodrigo.
