I'm not worried. Half-time gives us the chance to sit down and discuss what's gone wrong. I don't think we have carried out what Shelley would have wanted them to do. It's all a bit predictable and we are not seeing the best from our creative players

    HT: Portugal 0-0 Scotland

    Gemma Fay
Former Scotland goalkeeper on BBC Radio Scotland

    Quote Message

It's frustrating to watch. They created a couple of early chances, but then they have been tentative. We started to sit off and then Portugal start to play some balls through us and we can't allow that to happen

  4. HALF-TIME Portugal 0-0 Scotlandpublished at 19:50 GMT 27 November 2020

As the half-time whistle goes, the game has turned in Portugal's favour.

Scotland opened well and dominated the early stages.

However, the hosts have edged the second part of the opening half and it is only they who have managed any efforts on target - albeit they were dealt with easily by goalkeeper Lee Alexander.

Lots of work to do for the Scots in what is a must-win game if they want to end up topping their group.

    Portugal 0-0 Scotland

    Steven Thompson
Former Scotland striker on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

The possession of the ball has been nowhere near good enough for Scotland in the last 10 to 15 minutes

    Portugal 0-0 Scotland

Another effort on target from Portugal's Diana Silva on the turn.

Lee Alexander somehow fails to hold. But, after Claudio Pinto gets a toe to the rebound, the Scotland goalkeeper manages to gather the loose ball.

The visitors are dominating possession but living dangerously at the back.

It's so flat. There is a real lack of zip around this game

    Portugal 0-0 Scotland

Scotland respond and Kim Little neatly turns away from her marker just inside the penalty box, but the midfielder's attempt to find the top corner is a couple of yards over.

  12. Postpublished at 26mins

    Portugal 0-0 Scotland

Sporting Lisbon full-back Ana Burges is being played up front by Portugal and collects the ball around the penalty spot with her back to goal.

She makes a good turn but sends a weak shot trundling along the deck to goalkeeper Lee Alexander.

  13. Postpublished at 21mins

    Portugal 0-0 Scotland

Scotland goalkeeper Lee Alexander has to be quick off her line to cut out a dangerous Portugal through ball.

But the visitors are quickly up the other end and Lisa Evans' dangerous cross into the six yard box is headed clear for a corner.

  14. Postpublished at 16mins

    Portugal 0-0 Scotland

Erin Cuthbert collects the ball on the edge of the Portugal penalty box, nutmegs her marker but slices high and wide from 16 yards.

Promising attacking play from Scotland though.

    Portugal 0-0 Scotland

Still all square in Lisbon, where it is Portugal's turn to apply a bit of pressure.

Do you think Scotland will get the win they need? Thumbs up for yes, thumbs down for no.

  16. Postpublished at 11mins

    Portugal 0-0 Scotland

After all that pressure, it is Portugal who have the first shot on target.

It is presented to them on a plate as Scotland captain Rachel Corsie's poor clearing header falls to Diana Silva, but the Aston Villa forward's volley is straight into the arms of goalkeeper Lee Alexander.

  17. Postpublished at 9mins

    Portugal 0-0 Scotland

Bit more pressure from Scotland as they win the first two corners.

A cross is swung into the Portugal penalty box and Jen Beattie is there towering above the home defence, but the Arsenal centre-half almost hits the corner flag with her headers.

    Big chance, big miss!

  18. ouch!

    Ouch!published at 6mins

    Portugal 0-0 Scotland

Scotland left-back Emma Mitchell takes a sore one following a sliding tackle from Ana Borges.

However, the Reading defender recovers and Scotland are back in attack. Indeed, the game is being played in the Portugal half at the moment.

  19. Postpublished at 2mins

    Portugal 0-0 Scotland

Portugal captain Claudia Neto, normally a midfielder with Fiorentina, appears to be playing in a more advanced, centre-forward position.

Leanne Crichton was brought in as a sitting midfielder to counter Neto, so will that force a rethink in the Scots' system?

  20. KICK-OFFpublished at 19:03 GMT 27 November 2020

    Portugal 0-0 Scotland

Erin Cuthbert gets the game under way for Scotland, playing in their light-blue change strip and Portugal in their traditional red.
