    Arsenal 0-1 Liverpool

Liverpool have lost only one of their 52 Premier League matches Sadio Mané has scored in (W47-D4-L1), a 4-3 defeat at Bournemouth on 4 December 2016. The Reds are unbeaten in all their 46 PL games Mané scored in since (W42-D4-L0).

    Arsenal 0-1 Liverpool

Liverpool on track for that record 102 points in a season if it stays like this.

Andrew Robertson has to defend now to cut out a good ball which was looking for Reiss Nelson.

Liverpool have been really good, asserted themselves early on in this game and Arsenal are sitting quite deep - obviously they are a bit fearful of what Liverpool can do. Just watching the goal again, you'd like to think that one of the Arsenal players would identify Sadio Mane as a threat and get their body into him, get close, just in case that ball is cut back but he was in a lot of space.

    Arsenal 0-1 Liverpool

Only against Crystal Palace (9) has Sadio Mane scored more PL goals than against Arsenal (6). They must be sick of the sight of him.

He's looked very sharp as usual so far this evening.

    Arsenal 0-1 Liverpool

A lot of energy from Liverpool, more than Arsenal can take at the moment and Mo Salah is close to meeting a low cross now. The Gunners can't get out.

  6. 'Hopefully it's not too late'published at 20:41 BST 15 July 2020

    Man City 2-1 Bournemouth

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth midfielder David Brooks speaking to Sky Sports: "The performances have been very good over the past three or four games and I hope it's not too late.

"Hopefully we can carry this on in the next two games. It's our fault we are in this situation and the final game will be no different for us. We must put pressure on the teams above us.

"It's nice to come and score at a stadium like this but it's bitter sweet because we've not taken anything from the game. It's one of the best teams in the world and we went toe to toe with them."

    DRINKS.

I'm going to try and squeeze one in too.

Arsenal are really under the cosh here. Liverpool are pressing them so hard they are struggling to get any sort of possession and in Sadio Mane they have a world-class striker at the peak of his powers.

Plenty of candidates for Liverpool's best player this season but Mane must be a prime contender.

  9. 'We gave it everything'published at 20:38 BST 15 July 2020

    Man City 2-1 Bournemouth

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe speaking to Match of the Day: "We gave it everything tonight and real credit to the players to keep on going until the final whistle.

"It just never happened right at the end. It can seem a difficult way back here, so every credit to the players. The goal gave us renewed belief, it only took one moment, we missed a couple chances and their goalkeeper made an unbelievable save from Junior's [Stanislas] free-kick.

"When you create those moments - you don't get many against this quality of team and you need to take them.

"It was a great performance today it just wasn't to be. We need to match the performance level here and maybe surpass that against Southamnpton, that is all we should focus on now."

Liverpool win the ball back off a long kick but the moment you see Firmino driving into the 18 yard box and Robertson making that run - the bit I love is Robertson does a brilliant cutback on David Luiz, onto the six yard line and Mane knows exactly where it's going and it's a slid tap in.

Better from the Arsenal straight away as Reiss Nelson charges down the right, looks up and tries to find a team-mate but Joe Gomez cuts it out. Should have had a shot!

    GOAL - Arsenal 0-1 Liverpoolpublished at 20:35 BST 15 July 2020

    Sadio Mane (20 mins)

Just as I was writing that we haven't had a single shot on goal in the opening 20 minutes, the champions take the lead!

So easy they make it look too, flooding forwards in numbers, Roberto Firmino playing in Andrew Robertson on the overlap. He doesn't even look up, just flashes it across goal and Sadio Mane is on the stretch to turn it in.

You worry for Arsenal getting out of their half at the moment. They're playing this three, well a back five really, because they are dropping so deep, trying to smother the centre of the pitch because Liverpool are so intricate at times, Mane and Salah coming inside, bouncing the ball off Firmino. But when they win it, it's very difficult to see an outlet because Nelson and Pepe aren't the greatest at holding the ball up.

David Luiz...punts the ball over the top and straight out of play for a goal kick.

Very sloppy by Martínez. Firminho was bearing down on him, he's blocked it perfectly the cross-field pass and it's hit the post. Almost a glaring error.

  16. 'Bournemouth pushed us a lot'published at 20:29 BST 15 July 2020

    Man City 2-1 Bournemouth

    Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola speaking to Match of the Day: "It was difficult but our opponent played really well, they were really good and they pushed us a lot. Their needs are higher than ours but we played our game."

On David Silva: "He is in an incredible performance, he is one of the guys who came back from lockdown in an incredible position."

On Gabriel Jesus: "He is an incredible player, I said before he gives us not just goals but in the last few games he has also got the goals for us."

On John Stones: "He played really good, defensively he was very impressive against fast players up front and against balls into the box. He played really well."

  17. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:28 BST 15 July 2020

    Arsenal 0-0 Liverpool

Almost the classic commentator's curse! Jonathan Pearce is in the middle of some long gushing praise about Arsenal keeper Emiliano Martinez - who has been excellent of late - and he takes too long over a kick, his clearance is charged down by Roberto Firmino and the ball cannons into the post!

    Unlucky.

Arsenal look to be going down that left-hand side with Alexander-Arnold very advanced a lot of the time, perhaps that's part of Arsenal's thinking. David Luiz as well has tried to hit one or two long, raking diagonal balls with his right foot to that left-hand side. It definitely looks a ball to played.

  19. Postpublished at 20:25 BST 15 July 2020

Liverpool manage to keep the ball for an extended period but all they can muster in the end is an overhit ball over the top. The champions on top.

Fireworks outside Emirates Stadium but not too many inside as yet. Sadio Mane looks full of energy for Liverpool though.
