    Doncaster 0-0 Charlton

Charlton have the ball in the net through Josh Parker's tap in but the whistle is blown as he pulls down Doncaster captain Andy Butler.

Cheers go up from the home support, who must be relieved that wasn't given as Parker did well to work his way through the Doncaster back line in the first place.

    Doncaster 0-0 Charlton

Charlton concede a free-kick in midfield as Patrick Bauer brings down John Marquis, who falls in a heap.

The set-piece that follows comes to nothing as the Addicks easily clear their lines.

    It's livening up now!

There's a cracking atmosphere at the Keepmoat this afternoon, with the pitch bathed in sunshine. I love this point of the season.

As yet, we're still to see any clear-cut chances from either side as they get the measure of each other in the early stages.

Hopefully the game matches the atmosphere!

Are the omens on James Coppinger and Doncaster Rovers' side?

The 38-year-old agreed a new deal with the club last week. Could the veteran repay the favour and give them the advantage going into the second leg?

This will be the fourth fixture between these two teams in 2018-19, after the pair also met in the second round of the FA Cup.

As it stands, we've had all three possible outcomes - a home win for Charlton in the league, an away win for Doncaster in the cup and a draw at the Keepmoat in March.

Although for large parts of the season it seemed as though Barnsley, Portsmouth and Sunderland would be doing battle for the second automatic promotion spot behind Luton Town, Charlton Athletic's brilliant end to the campaign saw them finish third behind the Tykes.

They won seven of their final eight games to surge above the Black Cats and Pompey - leaving them a whopping 15 points above Doncaster Rovers in the final standings.
