    First leg: Sunderland 1-0 Portsmouth

Chris Maguire's stunning volley handed Sunderland the initiative after the first leg of their League One play-off semi-final against Portsmouth.

The second-half substitute fired home Pompey defender Matt Clarke's attempted clearing header first time from 15 yards within four minutes after coming on to give the Black Cats a precious lead.

Sunderland then had to dig in to defend their advantage as defender Alim Ozturk was shown a straight red card for bringing down Gareth Evans.

    Lyle Taylor

Charlton have the first goal of this match and it's gone to who else but Lyle Taylor?

The Addicks' player of the year finds the net with a stooping header just moments after his dangerous turn and shot was parried away for a corner.

In the ensuing attack that follows, Taylor gets in from a Josh Cullen cross on the byline to dive and head.

Doncaster raise their hands to appeal for offside in the cross that went in in the first place, but television replays show it was correct for the goal to stand. Great start.
