    Southampton 0-0 Derby

Derby are looking slick now, playing some very neat football which ends with Jack Marriott having an effort from the edge of the box but it's routine for Angus Gunn in nets.

Brilliant from the keeper. Shane Long - see me after.

That was the move of the match, brilliant football all round - good from Richard Keogh coming out, passing forward and being progressive, a nice turn from Waghorn and a lovely touch by Wilson.

Mount will be disappointed. I think he just got put off the last second, from that lunging tackle.

    Splendid tweet.

The internet tells me you're thinking of Diavian Johnson though...

Derby are playing some really nice stuff at the minute.

  6. CLOSE!published at 28 mins

    Southampton 0-0 Derby

Frank Lampard treats himself to a big, satisfying swig of orange after a wonderful passage of play. Derby put together a beauty of a move, all one-touch pasing and fluid movement which starts from the keeper and ends with Harry Wilson selling the whole Saints defence a dummy with a backheel into the run of Mason Mount.

If he bends his instep around the ball and drives it into the back of the net it's goal of the month stuff. Instead he laces it into the empty stand behind the goal.

Shane Long isn't due another goal until Southampton sack their manager again, I'm afraid.

What a save! That will give him confidence. Johnson down the left side delivers an inch-perfect ball into the corridor and Shane Long is there but the keeper gets a hand to it. Great save.

That was an incredible passage of play. Derby had 4 v 3 at one end but it was a good tackle by Stephens.

Then Southampton get down the left-hand side, it's a really good ball in by Johnson and how has Shane Long missed? He should be scoring from there, he's five yards out.

  10. GREAT SAVE!published at 22 mins

    Southampton 0-0 Derby

    What a save! Incredible!

You can't keep Tyreke Johnson out of the game, the youngster does everything right this time with a cracking early cross on the run. It takes the whole Derby defence out of the game.

Shane Long arrives on it, hits it with the side of his foot from about six yards out, he thinks he's scored - but Kelle Roos reacts brilliantly to keep it out, and then Stuart Armstrong can't convert the loose change!

Great save - but Long should have buried that. He had the whole goal to aim at!

Tyreke Johnson now does a foul throw! You don't see many of those. He took that like a young man who has never been asked to take a throw-in in his life. Which is very possible.

Paul: Tyreke Johnson of Southampton should be off with a red card already. Just now been booked when he earlier got away with diving that he should have been booked for. Had the ref done his job right and punished the dive he'd be off already.

Kevin Taylor: That Johnson incident highlights the lack of consistency with referees. Should have been booked for a blatant dive earlier and should now be sitting in the bath.

James Ward-Prowse, a man who has done me good service on Football Manager down the years, plays a beauty of a crossfield ball out to Cedric Soares on the right wing - but his cross is horrid. Shanked clean out of play.

  14. YELLOW CARDpublished at 16 mins

    Southampton 0-0 Derby

Tyreke Johnson is a lucky boy. He could have been booked a minute or two ago for a clear dive as he anticipated a challenge from Tom Huddlestone which didn't come. And now he is booked for sliding into the back of Harry Wilson as Derby cleared a corner and looked to break away.

Look at the quality on this ball in by James Ward-Prowse. Pace, dip, right into the danger area - it's very hard to defend against. Jack Stephens should have scored actually.

  18. CLOSE!published at 12 mins

    Southampton 0-0 Derby

Best chance so far for the hosts! James Ward-Prowse bends in a brilliant corner, there aren't many better on a dead ball in the game to be honest, Jack Stephens beats his man to the ball but can only power a header over the top. Couldn't keep it down.

Mason Mount was called up to the England squad just a few months ago. A real talent for sure. He's one of the 476 Chelsea players out on loan - where might he end up?

Steady as she goes in these opening 10 minutes. Not much to report.

Mason Mount looks comfortable. Even in the early stages he's been nice and calm on the ball. I love to see that in a young player.
