  • Coventry drew 1-1 with Peterborough in League One

  1. Postpublished at 71 mins

    Ipswich 0-1 West Brom

The hosts are still huffing and puffing - Gwion Edwards gets himself between two West Brom defenders to head Jordan Roberts' cross over.

But West Brom go down the other end and almost get a second, with Jordan Spence making a great cover block on Jay Rodriguez after an error from Luke Chambers.

Rodriguez wasted a similar chance late in the first half. Could they be costly?

  2. Postpublished at 69 mins

    Ipswich 0-1 West Brom

Ipswich midfielder Trevoh Chalobah gives the ball away in the middle of the park and West Brom pounce.

Hal Robson-Kanu breaks down the right but the angle is tight and he can only win a corner for the visitors.

Home keeper Bartosz Bialkowski makes a meal of catching the cross but is given a soft free-kick.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 65 mins

Paul Lambert makes the first change for the hosts - taking off Flynn Downes for fellow midfielder Ted Bishop, making his first Championship appearance since December 2017 after injury.

Ipswich need to find some impetus again, as West Brom have regained a level of control.

    Coventry 0-0 Peterborough

Still 0-0 at the Ricoh Arena but Coventry are suddenly looking a lot more lively now.

Luke Thomas should have at least hit the target with a chance that he engineered himself, after winning the ball on the halfway line and then dribbling his way into the area.

Jonson Clarke-Harris then flashed a left-footed drive just wide for the home side.

  5. Postpublished at 61 mins

    Ipswich 0-1 West Brom

Jonas Knudsen is getting good use of the pitchside towel for his long throws, which have caused West Brom one or two problems.

We're into the last 30 minutes now - it'll be interesting to see which manager blinks first.

Straight up the other end Trevoh Chalobah bursts forward and sees an effort drift low and wide of the West Brom goal.

Ipswich have been the better of the sides since the break, that's for sure, but West Brom have more on their substitutes bench.

  7. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 57 mins

    Ipswich 0-1 West Brom

Harvey Barnes sidefoots against the outside of the post for West Brom!

He's picked out by Matt Phillips at the back post, and would expect to hit the target after having time to settle himself.

That's what Ipswich need to be wary of as they chase this game.

  8. Postpublished at 53 mins

    Ipswich 0-1 West Brom

Ipswich are winning set-pieces left, right and centre - the latest free-kick played short to defender Matthew Pennington, who skews a speculative shot wide from outside the area.

The crowd are right back on side at Portman Road.

There's more purpose from this Ipswich side in the early minutes of the second half.

Denmark full-back Jonas Knudsen wins them another corner, which just evades a player in the box before Trevoh Chalobah's effort is saved.

    Better from the Tractor Boys.

  10. Postpublished at 49 mins

    Ipswich 0-1 West Brom

West Brom seem relatively happy to let Ipswich come forward, allowing them to break with pace when they win the ball back.

Gwion Edwards plays in Jordan Roberts over the top but Baggies defender Ahmed Hegazi defends well and gets it out for a corner, which is eventually cleared.

  11. Second halfpublished at 46 mins

    Ipswich 0-1 West Brom

We're back under way at Portman Road - Ipswich in their traditional blue and West Brom in their retro yellow and green strip.

The hosts need to find some extra quality in the next 45 minutes, or I fear the Baggies will run away with this one.

Darren Moore has the likes of Dwight Gayle on his bench.

  12. EFL TV rights row like 'mini-Brexit'published at 20:44 GMT 23 November 2018

    HT: Ipswich 0-1 West Brom

On Monday the EFL agreed a new television rights deal with Sky Sports worth £595m - a 35% increase on the previous contract.

Sounds relatively uneventful, but several Championship clubs have since voiced their displeasure at the deal.

Exeter chairman Julian Tagg has even likened the situation to Brexit. Here's some more of the reaction from clubs up and down the country.

EFL TV rights row like 'mini-Brexit'

The row over English Football League broadcasting rights is like a "mini-Brexit", says Exeter City chairman Julian Tagg.

  13. All square in League Onepublished at 20:41 GMT 23 November 2018

    HT: Coventry 0-0 Peterborough

    Ged Scott
BBC Sport at the Ricoh Arena

A tight, well balanced encounter at the Ricoh Arena which, if this were a boxing match, would have the higher-ranked of the two opponents ahead at the break.

Third-placed Peterborough United have gone closest to breaking the deadlock, starting with a brilliant early cover tackle by Jack Grimmer to deny Marcus Maddison.

But City keeper Lee Burge has also made three key saves, twice denying Ivan Toney, as well as saving with his legs from Matt Godden.

Ninth-placed Coventry also have the added problem of how best to quell the typically noisy touchline observations of the as-ever outspoken Posh boss Steve Evans, who is already actively engaged in healthy banter with the fourth official, as well as drawing hostile comments from the home fans.

    Tony Brown
Former West Brom striker on BBC WM 95.6

The opportunities have been there. It's all about sticking it in the net and while it's still 1-0 the opposition have still got a chance. But I think West Brom have got far more than Ipswich have.

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:33 GMT 23 November 2018

    Ipswich 0-1 West Brom

    Jay RodriguezImage source, Rex Features

There's the whistle and West Brom will be going up to second as it stands, thanks to Jay Rodriguez's goal.

The Baggies grew into the half and showed their class in the end.

Ipswich, meanwhile, are already five points adrift at the bottom and need to show more in the final third.

  17. Postpublished at 45+1 mins

    Ipswich 0-1 West Brom

West Brom almost double their lead straight after conceding a corner.

Harvey Barnes drives forward powerfully and passes to Jay Rodriguez, whose shot is blocked by Trevoh Chalobah.

We're into a minute of stoppage time at the end of this first half.

  18. Postpublished at 43 mins

    Ipswich 0-1 West Brom

Foul throw alert! I thought you only saw those in Sunday league.

West Brom's Tosin Adarabioyo is pulled up by the assistant as he prepares to launch a long one into the Ipswich penalty area.

    We're drifting towards the interval.

  19. Postpublished at 41 mins

    Ipswich 0-1 West Brom

Hal Robson-Kanu is allowed to dribble the ball some way - with Ipswich defender Matthew Pennington on a booking and not wanting to commit himself - but the former Wales man can't find the target with his effort.

West Brom look more likely to get the next goal at the moment.

  20. Postpublished at 39 mins

    Ipswich 0-1 West Brom

The free-kick goes short - much to the displeasure of the crowd - and ends with Trevoh Chalobah taking an air-kick from 20 yards.

It possibly sums up Ipswich's attacking threat thus far.
