Crusaders were defensively all at the sea while they couldn't get in behind the Ballymena defence. Crusaders don't scare teams like they used to. But credit to Ballymena as they didn't let Crusaders into the game and the scoreline doesn't flatter them.

  2. '100 Glens goals is an honour' - Curtis Allenpublished at 17:15 BST 27 October 2018

    Glentoran 4-0 Ards

We're really pleased, we've performed over the last few weeks and have been disappointed with the results. We needed that win. I woke up feeling good and predicted I'd get my 100th on Twitter. Some of the lads said I'd put myself under pressure but over the last few weeks, I haven't had a sniff. Thankfully I got the chances today and they went in. To score 100 goals for this club is an achievement and an honour. It's such a big club.

    Curtis Allen, Glentoran centurion

  3. Donnelly fires wide for Glenavonpublished at 17:13 BST 27 October 2018

    Glenavon 0-0 Newry City

Stephen Donnelly has been handed a rare start for Glenavon and he comes close early on, firing a shot just wide after 10 minutes.

The first goal was a bad one to give away but I thought we were poor all over and deserved to get beat. We have to move on from this because there were poor performances all over the pitch. We can only hope we'll improve next week against Dungannon and play more like we did last week, when we beat Linfield. But we got what we deserved today.

    Colin Nixon, Ards manager

  5. Late team change for Newrypublished at 17:09 BST 27 October 2018

    Glenavon 0-0 Newry City

Newry's Stephen Teggart was listed as being on the bench but he actually starts, with Patrick Mooney a substitute.

We knew we were going to have to work hard and be well-organised. It was a fantastic goal from Michael (McCrudden) to win it - it's like something you will see on Match of the Day tonight. Michael has been top drawer for us and he has chipped in with a few important goals in the early part of the season.

  7. 'Can't ask for any more' - McFallpublished at 17:08 BST 27 October 2018

    Glentoran 4-0 Ards

    Quote Message

We were excellent today. We dominated throughout, kept a clean sheet and scored some super goals so I can't ask for more. John Herron was impressive, I thought he and Gallagher did well together in the middle. I couldn't fault them but I couldn't fault any of them. I'm delighted for Curtis Allen, he's a natural goalscorer and getting 100 goals for the club is a tremendous achievement.

    Ronnie McFall, Glentoran boss

    Dungannon Swifts 1-2 Linfield

A late, late goal from defender Mark Stafford gives Linfield the win against 10-man Dungannon.

The Blues go top of the table - temporarily at least - after coming back from a goal down to snatch all three points.

Douglas Wilson had given the Swifts the lead in the first half but an own goal from Jake Dykes brought the Blues level.

Harsh on the Swifts - boss Kris Lindsay still looking his first league win.

A brilliant win for Cliftonville on the road, they hold on to defeat Coleraine at the Showgrounds.

  14. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:52 BST 27 October 2018

    Glentoran 4-0 Ards

A virtuoso display from Glentoran gives them a comprehensive win over Ards at The Oval. Controlling proceedings from the outset, the Glens went ahead in the 12th minute through Curtis Allen's 100th for the club. But merciful they were not, with Robbie McDaid grabbing a second just shy of half-time before Marcus Kane added a superb third on the hour.

Allen wrapped up the points with his second of the afternoon. McGuigan's late dismissal after a coming together with Craig McClean was the solitary blemish on an otherwise excellent day for the Belfast side.

Glentoran move up to sixth while Ards remain precariously close to the foot of the table, one and two points above Newry and and two ahead Dungannon Swifts respectively.

This was a crushing blow for the visitors, particularly after beating Linfield last week. They face the Swifts next week as Glentoran travel to Cliftonville.

  15. RED CARDpublished at 16:51 BST 27 October 2018

    Glentoran 4-0 Ards

Substitute John McGuigan sent off for Glentoran right at the death. It appears the Glentoran man thrust his head into the direction of Craig McClean. Referee Steven Gregg deemed it violent conduct.

  16. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:51 BST 27 October 2018

    Ballymena Utd 3-0 Crusaders

An impressive display from the hosts, who move above the Crues and into third place.

The champions never really got started and failed to trouble the Sky Blues defence.

  20. Golden chance for Bradleypublished at 16:43 BST 27 October 2018

    Coleraine 1-2 Cliftonville

Eoin Bradley bundles his way into the box and uses his strength to hold of his man before dragging his right-footed effort just wide of the far post. Big chance and the clock ticks on.
