It has been a superb start. we expected PSG to take the game to Liverpool and they haven't disappointed. Neymar is getting into pockets of space and he is causing the visitors problems. There is a swagger about PSG tonight.

Harry Kane rolls away from a defender and tees up Dele Alli - he bangs in a rising drive from the edge of the area and it's just over!

We have two fine games on our hands here.

Decent opening now for PSG, Neymar cuts in from that station on the left, it opens up for him but his curler is tame and easily held.

Star power - Leonardo DiCaprio is in the house! He's done well to get tickets.

It's so open - James Milner wins a tackle in his own half, plays it forwards and Mo Salah has the whole PSG half to run into. Marquinhos is the last man and he just about clears, or the Egyptian was home and hosed.

Harry Kane gets into the area, wide on the left, and his cross/shot is touched onto the post I think by Samir Handanovic. He clears it anyway, before Lucas goes down right on the edge of the area under pressure from Matteo Politano.

No foul given...

Angel di Maria takes the shot early trying to catch Alisson out, but the Liverpool goalkeeper does the right thing by palming it away rather than trying to catch it.

First real shot in anger, and it's a good one as Angel di Maria takes on a dipping 25-yarder which is flying into the far corner until Alisson flings himself to his left and beats it clear. From the corner, PSG work it short and cross for Thiago Silva, free at the back post, but Alisson makes a brilliant stop!

The flag was up. But Silva was onside...

Spurs force a corner which Lucas Moura is close to meeting, the hosts have started brightly. Of course they need a win tonight. Nothing else will do.

Joe Gomez winds up for a Rory Delap style throw and again he causes havoc with it - every team should have one! PSG just about clear. Fine first five minutes.

Electrifying start by PSG. Interesting to see Neymar in a deeper role and Kylian Mbappe playing off Edinson Cavani through the middle.

PSG look super sharp - Kylian Mbappe drifts away from Dejan Lovren but his shot from a tight angle slides across the face of goal and wide. Liverpool then look to break but Mo Salah gets double teamed on the sideline.

Bright Spurs attack down the right a Serge Aurier finds Erik Lamela on the edge of the D - he goes the wrong way down a cul-de-sac though and loses the ball. Wembley fizzing in anticipation.

I'm in shock already. Edinson Cavani just drifted in behind and Liverpool stood still. Great chance for PSG early doors.

PSG get in behind the Liverpool defence twice inside the first minute. High octane start, but both times Alisson was sweeping sharply to clear.

And under way at Wembley too.

JG: Quietly optimistic about Klopp's team selection today. Not the most glamorous but, a midfield full of workhorses in there.

That_Phony_Emporer: PSG are probably the most overrated team in the world. They always win the domestic titles, but can't raise the bar when it comes to playing against decent teams.

Aaron: Happy to see the return of the 4-3-3 from Liverpool; easily their best formation. Can't see PSG being quite so lackadaisical in their approach here as they were at Anfield though so I expect a very tough night.

Away we go...

I mean, we're getting excited about PSG v Liverpool but it's Aston Villa 2-2 Forest after 14 minutes in the Championship!
