    That one was destined for the net and it's a brilliant save by Smithies.

    The 46-year-old took over the Bees in November 2015 and is now the fourth-longest serving manager in the Championship.

    "It will be a special moment but it will only be really special if we win. I'm not really one for milestones.

    "I'll raise my bat but I'd much rather see one of the English lads get a ton out in the Ashes."

    QPR boss Ian Holloway could do with a result this evening, not just to end his side's three-match losing streak but to also get bragging rights over their rivals.

    The R's have hosted three London derbies already this season, losing to Fulham and drawing with Millwall in the Championship.

    Before that, Brentford won 4-1 at Loftus Road in the second round of the Carabao Cup back in August.

    "We need a win and what a fantastic opportunity to take them on at our place," Holloway told BBC Radio London.

    "I'm looking forward to it. They are a team who have a real good identity and play some great stuff.

    "We need some stability and if we can get a victory we will be far closer to the end of the table we want to be."

    QPR will be looking to move further away from the relegation zone, with the Loftus Road side currently seven points above the bottom three.
