  3. PENALTY FOR REAL MADRIDpublished at 21:16 GMT 26 February 2017

    Villarreal 2-1 Real Madrid

Toni Kroos' shot spins off the boot of a Villarreal player and hits the hand of Bruno in the area.

    It's a pen - very harsh.

    Step up Cristiano.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:14 GMT 26 February 2017

    Marseille 0-3 PSG

This sums up the difference in resources between PSG and the rest in France. £35m January signing Julian Draxler comes off the bench and replaces Javier Pastore, who cost a similar amount a few years back.

    Lucas Moura (50 mins)

If this game wasn't over before, it definitely is now. Lucas Moura scores a third for PSG, who are set to move back into second place.

It's not been a classic Classique for Marseille fans.

  7. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:07 GMT 26 February 2017

    Villarreal 2-0 Real Madrid

    Wowsers!

Cristiano Ronaldo almost destroys a Villarreal post with a fierce angled volley - on the full - which rebounds off the woodwork and on to the thigh of sub keeper Andres Fernandez, who doesn't have the foggiest what's happening.

Real will surely pull a goal back - at least.

    Inter Milan 0-2 Roma

Eder takes a shot for Inter Milan, it's going off target anyway, but hits Antonio Candreva and goes even more wide. Sums up Inter's performance so far.

    Radja Nainggolan (56 mins)

WOOOOOOOOOF. Is  Radja Nainggolan one of the world's top midfielders at the moment?

The Belgian gets the ball 70 yards from goal, there's a suspicion he committed a foul to get the ball, but he goes on a run - albeit with no Inter players getting a tackle in - and absolutely crashes home an effort from 25 yards. His first goal was special too.

Nikul11:  Villarreal going up 2-0 is making me feel better...

    Glad to hear that.

    Cedric Bakambu (56 mins)

    Good grief! It's two!

Bruno plays a lovely-weighted ball for Congolese forward  Cedric Bakambu who fends off the weak challenge of Sergio Ramos to slot home past Keylor Navas.

Blimey! This will be tough for Real to come back from.

    As you would...

  15. Postpublished at 20:57 GMT 26 February 2017

    Villarreal 1-0 Real Madrid

Will this be two league defeats on the bounce for Real Madrid?

Aside from the Karim Benzema effort in the first half, the 'BBC' have not really tested the meanest defence in the league.

And...Villarreal have not lost a match against any of the top three this season, so far.

  16. Postpublished at 20:56 GMT 26 February 2017

    Inter Milan 0-1 Roma

Decent start to the second half for Inter as Antonio Candreva's shot is touched away by Roma keeper Wojciech Szczesny.

And they've had an even better chance.  I, external van Perisic has the ball in space but somehow Bruno Peres is able to block his shot over for a corner.

    Manu Trigueros (49 mins)

    It was coming.

Real Madrid fail to clear their area and the ball falls to Manu Trigueros who strikes the ball into the ground with a half-volley that goes on to beat keeper Keylor Navas.

    Villarreal 0-0 Real Madrid

A great early chance for Real Madrid.

Gareth Bale cuts into the area and tees up Karim Benzema, who tries to place his strike instead of put his boot through it.

Sub keeper Andres Fernandez easily collects.

Latest news: Villarreal's keeper Sergio Asenjo has been taken to hospital after suffering a knee injury in the first half. Asenjo has a history of knee problems.
