I've been speaking to England Rugby World Cup winner Ellie Kildunne on the red carpet ahead of tonight's event.

On her highlight of 2025: "Winning the World Cup.I think it's the highlight of my career, not just 2025. It's something we've been heading towards and wanting to achieve for a long, long time and to do it on home soil, with a team that have so much love for, was amazing."

On how it feels to be nominated for the SPOTY award as a female rugby player: "I feel very proud. But it's not just proud for myself, I feel proud to be nominated as the first female rugby player.

"It's not necessarily about me, but the impact that it has on the sport and the next generation of girls. That's what I'm really proud of."

When asked whether her nomination feels like a breakthrough moment for women's rugby: "Yeah, it does. At the end of the day we're all athletes and competitors and you all want to be the first to win it.

"But to be nominated in the first place and be the top six, out of so many great people that have done some amazing things, it definitely go down in the history books for me for the rest of my life."
