Image source, Getty ImagesElsewhere, there will be a nice moment at Trent Bridge this evening as Notts Outlaws' bowler Luke Fletcher says thanks to the Birmingham Bears' side.
Fletcher has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after suffering a nasty blow on the head in the reverse fixture in July. However, the injury could have been much worse and he is looking forward to seeing those that helped him.
“It wasn’t anyone’s fault. It was just that it happened against the Bears and I really want to thank a few people that were there on the night," he told the Bears website., external
"Their doctor was amazing and the support from their physio was top drawer, so it would be nice to see them and just say thanks for what they did."
South Group leaders Glamorgan suffered their third defeat of the T20 Blast campaign when they lost by eight wickets to Hampshire at the Ageas Bowl. Colin Ingram suffered a rare failure when he fell to Liam Dawson for 13 and the home side overhauled their total of 118-2 in just 13.5 overs, with James Vince hitting an unbeaten 60 off 41 balls.
Sussex Sharks missed out on a chance to climb into the top four as they went down by two runs to Middlesex in an exciting clash at Lord's. Stevie Eskinazi's unbeaten 57 saw the home side to 147-6 and the Sharks came up short on 145-8 despite 69 by Chris Nash.
Yorkshire Vikings v Lancashire Lightning (start 18:30 BST)
Yorkshire lost their last three games, but have won the toss at Headingley and will bat first.
They are boosted by the return of England paceman Liam Plunkett, who has recovered from a hamstring problem, while Australian batsman Shaun Marsh also returns from concussion.
Lancashire, who have only won one of their last five matches, keep faith with 20-year-old leg-spinner Matthew Parkinson, who has taken eight wickets in his six T20 games so far.
