So here we are, as Ulster final day rolls around for 2026.

After seven games, it's Armagh and Monaghan left standing but what a championship it has been so far.

We've had shocks, drama, eye-catching performances, controversy and did we mention drama? Well, there was enough of it to last several competitions.

It all began with Tyrone coming alive in Armagh as Kieran McGeeney's side required extra-time to get by their fierce rivals, while Down produced the shock of the season when downing red-hot favourites Donegal in Letterkenny.

So, the stage is set then for the 2026 Ulster Senior Football Championship final.

Who said the provincial championships were dead?

Monaghan bested Derry in the most dramatic of ways in the semi-final, levelling after the final whistle had been blown through a Jack McCarron pearler before Rory Beggan won it with the last kick of extra-time.

They are back in the decider for the first time since 2021 and for their first final in Clones since their latest Ulster triumph in 2015.

Standing in their way is Armagh, who have been beaten in each of the last three finals.

Kieran McGeeney's men have been in menacing form since seeing off Tyrone in the preliminary round.

The Orchard County racked up 2-32 in their convincing quarter-final win against Fermanagh before beating Down by 28 points a fortnight ago, amassing a colossal 3-33.

Armagh won by 12 points at a canter when these sides met in the opening round of the National Football League in January. Is this the year they finally get their hands on the Anglo Celt Cup for the first time since 2008?
