We know that some bookmakers paid out up to seven places in that race.

In fifth was High Class Hero, priced at a staggering 66-1.

Favori De Champdou was sixth and Final Orders came seventh.

A total of 16 horses finished the race.

That win was historic for a couple of reasons for trainer Willie Mullins and winning horse I Am Maximus.

First, I Am Maximus is the first top weight horse to win the Grand National since Red Rum back in 1974.

It is also a third consecutive Grand National winner for trainer Willie Mullins, the first trainer since Vincent O'Brien between 1963 and 1965 to win this race three years in a row.

Watching the home straight back, Ben Jones on Jordans really had it in his hands.

But as he slowed up, Paul Townend took full advantage and left Jordans completely out of I Am Maximus' grasp.

Iroko ran well at the end to take second place. A mention to High Class Hero as well, finishing fifth priced at 66-1.

It is a famous win for I Am Maximus who becomes the first horse since Red Rum to regain the Grand National!

I Am Maximus is a two-time Grand National winner!

Just when Jordans thought it was his, it was not enough. I Am Maximus, backed in heavily minutes before the race started, proved his backers right.

He won it in 2024 and he wins again in 2026. I Am Maximus is a Grand National icon.

Jordans is getting chased now, but his distance is going to be tough to catch.

But wait, here comes I Am Maximus...

Jordans has really gone for it.

Jordans has taken an enormous kick as they approach the straight.

Heading into fence 29, he leads by several lengths and he gets over well.

It is his to lose now.

Three fences to go, Jordans leads Imperial Saint.

There is very little in this and many of the field are well-placed.

Two loose horses lead for now, but after that, Amirite and Final Orders lead of those still in this race.

Just six fences left to go, with Imperial Saint moving in front.

Twig is having a dream run. He was a horse that cost just £100!

Banbridge and Oscar's Brother both fall at The Chair as we reach halfway.

Amirte still leads, but Jagwar remains well placed.

A few who mentioned Twig will be pleased so far.

Amirite leads as they go through fence 12 but there is plenty of company with him.

Top Of The Bill and Imperial Saint are just lurking half a length back and keeping pace.

So many high profile horses are out of this race. Who said these fences were easy?

Amirite leads at the Canal Turn with around a quarter of this race gone.

A very chaotic start following those fallers, but a few fences are cleared without any departures.

A very hectic pack, going at a steady pace holding plenty back as they go over the Open Ditch.

Chaos at the start.

Grangeclare West unseats Patrick Mullins at the first.

Quai De Bourbon falls at the second.

Oh! The mare Panic Attack unseats Harry Skelton at the third too.

That's two of the market favourites out.

The field get stopped in some form of unison, but they are right on the tape.

After a quick step back, they run and we are off!

I Am Maximus will go off as the 5-1 favourite.

Panic Attack is next back at 7-1. Jagwar is among those also better-fancied, as is Grangeclare West.
