Europe navigated a dramatic and controversial fourballs session on Saturday afternoon to leave just three points to win the Ryder Cup.

Amid unsavoury scenes and incidents of abuse from the crowd, three of Luke Donald's pairings won their matches, including Tyrrell Hatton and Matt Fitzpatrick sealing victory on the final hole.

JJ Spaun and Xander Schauffele salvaged a consolation point for the hosts but it was European supporters partying as the sun set on day two at the 45th Ryder Cup.

  3. Europe win foursomes againpublished at 17:44 BST 27 September 2025

DeChambeau/Young (USA) lost to Aberg/Fitzpatrick (Europe).
English/Morikawa (USA) lost to Fleetwood/McIlroy (Europe) by a score of 3&2, meaning Europe won with three holes remaining and a two-hole lead.
Cantlay/Schauffele (USA) lost to Hatton/Rahm (Europe) by a score of 3&2.
Henley/Scheffler (USA) lost to Hovland/MacIntyre (Europe) by 1UP, indicating Europe won by a single hole.

It was another dominant morning performance from Team Europe as they won foursomes 3-1 once again.

Luke Donald's side have a commanding lead before the fourballs in the afternoon - and need only five and a half points from two sessions to retain the Ryder Cup.

  4. On the slate for Saturdaypublished at 00:59 BST 27 September 2025

The schedule outlines the Saturday Foursomes matches with the following pairings and tee times (all times BST): 12:10: DeChambeau / Young (USA) vs. Aberg / Fitzpatrick (Europe) 12:26: English / Morikawa (USA) vs. Fleetwood / McIlroy (Europe) 12:42: Cantlay / Schauffele (USA) vs. Hatton / Rahm (Europe) 12:58: Henley / Scheffler (USA) vs. Hovland / MacIntyre (Europe).

European captain Luke Donald has stuck with the same four pairings that won 3-1 on Friday.

Counterpart Keegan Bradley makes only one change, bringing in Cameron Young to partner Bryson DeChambeau in the opening match in place of Justin Thomas.

It means a chance for world number one Scottie Scheffler to make up for two defeats on day one, reprising his partnership with Russell Henley.

Meanwhile, Collin Morikawa and Harris English were beaten 4&3 by Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood on Friday but are asked to go again on Saturday.

They will have an immediate chance for revenge, as they have been paired against the same opponents.

Play gets under way at 12:10 BST.

USA captain Keegan Bradley says his side are not out of the Ryder Cup despite trailing Europe by three points.

"The boys played really good this afternoon. Europe made a lot of putts. Happy with the way we're playing. Hopefully it'll turn and our putts will go in tomorrow," Bradley said.

"We've only played 28% of the points. This is first quarter. We've still got three quarters to go. I've got a lot of faith in my boys.".
