This was quite the moment from Justin Thomas earlier on the sixth.
Not enough to fully reel in Tommy Fleetwood at that point but a bit of cheer for the home supporters nonetheless.
He's trying to get some momentum.
Cantlay A/S Aberg (8)
Patrick Cantlay sticks on in nice and tight from the eighth tee and when he crosses the lake he has the simple task of tapping in from four feet to level the match.
Scheffler A/S McIlroy (9)
Rory McIlroy makes four. Unlikely three in truth.
Scottie Scheffler has also played four times this week so is also likely weary. Just looks less like it.
And his energy will have been sapped a bit by that putt for three barely threatening the hole.

Tommy Fleetwood's monster putt on the 10th whistles just past the hole, leaving Justin Thomas with a six footer to win the hole.
The American sinks it and the crowd roar with encouragement. Fleetwood back to one up.

A par for Cameron Young which Justin Rose can only match by hitting a five footer to stay just two behind after 11.

Shane Lowry was bounding around the greens roaring with emotion yesterday but he's a lot calmer today. Perhaps a reflection of where Europe are at.
The Irishman calmly putts in from about eight feet on the fifth to go one up.
Scheffler A/S McIlroy (8)
Rory McIlroy is running on fumes here, I'm sure of it. Ideal world, Shane Lowry wins out in the country and can get out to support him.
The appearance of Lowry would do the trick I reckon.
Anyway, Scottie Scheffler is close on the ninth green. A putt off.
DeChambeau v Fitzpatrick 4UP (9)
Bryson DeChambeau storms off the ninth green after dropping in a second consecutive birdie.
The American looks like a man on a mission and Matt Fitzpatrick needs to try and regain some momentum.

The American is putting from 10 feet but that's not tracking at all and the Spaniard, who is in at half the distance, erases the lick of red paint on the score for this match.

Bit of a wait on the ninth tee for Scottie Scheffler as he has to whistle to a cameraman in the fairway.
Nails it down the middle.
Rory McIlroy climbs into that one. Semi-rough but lie is OK. He may look a bit weary but he launched that one.

Downhill putt for Rory McIlroy. Needs a good touch and that was a fine effort... while still leaving a bit of tidying up work to do.
Scottie Scheffler takes all the stress out by rolling his up stone dead.
So McIlroy to trickle this in for the half... yep. Makes that but walks off a bit wearily, it looked to me.

No surprise really after Justin Rose made a hash of that hole that Cameron Young doubles his lead, but it's only with a par as the American is just happily mopping up with the growing number of Rose mistakes.
Cantlay v Aberg 1UP (6)
After some scrappy golf on the last hole the standard is raised considerably here with both players sticking it close with their approach shots and both Patrick Cantlay and Ludvig Aberg making birdies.
That's a bit more like it.

It's not a bad lay-up though, despite being a par four, but his wedge approach then drops short and into another sand trap.
