Right folks, that's your lot from the 20th Solheim Cup in the Netherlands where Europe have run out thrilling winners over the USA in a tournament filled with drama.

We've had big putts, dramatic endings, huge turnarounds and everything in between - ultimately it went Europe's way but it was a tight one, as these Solheim Cups always seem to be these days.

Anna Nordqvist is presented the trophy in front of the fans - one kiss and she hoists it into the air.

A burst of blue and yellow pyrotechnics behind them shoots into the air and the players each take turns in lifitng the Solheim Cup to continued cheers from the stands.

Not sure it's going down too well with the American team, who did get a nice reception as they were brought out onto the tee but it's not exactly good viewing for them sat in the stands watching this...

Team USA captain Angela Stanford: "You hear people say over and over and over how difficult it is and it really is. I felt like we did a lot of things right leading up to it. We fought hard and we always seemed to be on the same page and the Europeans played great today. That's the way it goes. Their backs were against the wall and they had nothing to lose and that's exactly what they did. They came out and played well, so good for them."

On whether she would've done anything differently today: "I think it's too early to say. I haven't really processed everything so far but right now, no that's not who I am. I try not to have regrets. I believed in all 12. I probably need to think about that some more."

On being eager to come back in four years to get that win: "We have a pretty good pipeline. There are a lot of captains in line on the American side, a lot of good ones coming, so I think we have a lot lined up ready to go."

More from Solheim Cup-winning captain Anna Nordqvist on how she felt when Europe clinched victory: "I think there's been so many emotions bottled up. It's been such a long road. It's been a lot of hard work.

"Last night was hard because I really hadn't had a moment to stop and I think I sat down to eat for 10 minutes all day yesterday, so my vice-captains really picked me up. There's been a couple of good speeches in the team room last night and everyone was so excited to go and play today."

On who made the speeches: "I had a little bit of a short and sweet speech and Anne [van Dam], the comeback the European team had in the juniors was incredible, so she shared some thoughts and mentality and Mel [Reid] and [Caroline] Hedwall. It's been amazing doing this journey with them. I couldn't be more proud and more honoured to do this journey with them.

"I've been living my dream. I had the opportunity to go to the United States in 2006 and I'm forever grateful for everything that's happened. Living my dream, it doesn't feel like I've worked a day in my life. Having my family support from far away, living in the US alone but having them here at every single Solheim Cup and now sharing it with my nieces and nephews, seeing my brothers cry, my sister-in-law it's always been a family affair for me. I said it in my speech that what makes the Solheim Cup special is sharing it with others."

Solheim Cup-winning captain Anna Nordqvist: "This feels so good. This has been so much hard work this week and in the last two years leading up to this, not only me but all the background team. The help has been amazing this week. We had a really good week,. Everyone's been good teammates and leaving the course yesterday, we were really excited to come here today and wow, was I impressed with every single player and caddy turning up to the first tee ready to play.

"The rain was good mojo for us. There was a lot of blue early. The way the golf course was, I'm just really proud of the players for starting strong and finishing strong.

"This was the no-brainer to put Charley [Hull] first. We saw the stats yesterday and Charley and Lottie [Woad] were actually top four players who made the most birdies in the week. They didn't score many points but they played really tough matches.

"People don't understand how good these players are and how good the golf has been in the last three days. It was a no-brainer and then finishing strong with Carlota [Cigunda], we know she's done it in the past and to see Lottie finish a good week. She's been playing so good this week and not really getting anything off it. Holing the winning putt, I think that's going to be hard to forget for her."

Europe's team are dancing onto the stage now, which is set up in front of the first tee grandstand which is even louder now that it has been all week - when it's been pretty loud!

The players are arm in arm bouncing around as we wait for the official trophy presentation. Massive celebrations going on.

Watch the moment Lottie Woad assured Europe would win the Solheim Cup as she beat Auston Kim to put Europe on 14 points.

With Carlota Ciganda already guaranteed a half point at least it meant Europe would win the trophy - which then became official when the Spaniard won her match later on.

Here's the scores on the doors - and none of the 12 singles matches ended up all square today.

A 7-5 singles success stretches Europe's unbeaten record in Sunday sessions to six Solheim Cups, with America's last success coming back in 2015 in Germany.

That middle bunch of Europe wins did the damage for Anna Nordqvist's team, with Nanna Koerstz Madsen returning to form to pick up a point, then three rookies in a row doing the business.

Nastasia Nadaud, Julia Lopez Ramirez and then Lottie Woad sealing the deal - brilliant stuff from that trio as Solheim Cup singles action is not for the feint hearted.

They build rookie differently these days.

And there we have it - it's official. Europe win the Solheim Cup with a 15-13 success over the USA at Bernardus Golf Club in the Netherlands.

It's a close one, as we knew it would be, but Europe really showed up in the singles today and on the balance of the week they've played the better golf so that result looks and feels just about right.

Well played to Anna Nordqvist's side - the rookies were superb and the big names played their part today. The rain couldn't dampen the crowd's spirits either.

What a day.

Rose Zhang makes a birdie on ther last to beat Celine Boutier but all that does is narrow the gap - the main thing is the Solheim Cup is Europe's.

Team Europe's Carlota Ciganda on how it feels to make the win official for her team: "So happy. Very happy for Anna [Nordqvist], the rookies. I think it's been one of the best teams we've had in the last few years. Everyone is a unit, a team, that's what Europe is about and we had a great time. Some great matches, lots of birdies and very happy to do it for Anna.

"I don't know what happens at Solheim but I make a lot of putts. I need to take this mentality into regular tournaments.

"Today I was really motivated to beat her [Kupcho] because I knew it was going to be important. I did very well and very happy."

On Nordqvist: "She's a good friend. I've known her for more than 20 years. We played lots of amateur golf, professional, lots of Solheims. I think she's one of the most competitive players that I know. I think she was prepared, very organised. She had everything in her mind. She had a game plan and I'm so happy that everything worked out. I couldn't be happier for her.

"Vamos."

We play on. The bottom match may be a dead rubber but Rose Zhang still wants her point and Celine Boutier still wants to get something as she's not managed to put anything on the board so far this week.

Boutier misses the chance to win 17 so the best she can do is win the last and add a half point.

Two things stand out from this European success.

Firstly, the big names have delivered the big moments today - Charley Hull won the first point, Lottie Woad clinched the crucial point and then Carlota Ciganda made it official.

Secondly, the rookies have been outstanding. Three of the four won their singles matches with only Mimi Rhodes losing out - and she played pretty well but ran into world number one Nelly Korda on top of her game.

Rhodes won two matches with fellow rookie Nastasia Nadaud while Julia Lopez Ramirez went unbeaten. And don't forget Woad is a rookie herself.

We're just mopping up the remaining matches now as Lindy Duncan finishes off her win over Maja Stark - but Stark still gets a huge reception from her team-mates though after the performance she's put in this week.

She's contributed three points this week and taken out some big names - that loss won't bother the Swede one bit.

It's officially stamped, sealed and delivered and once against its Carlota Ciganda on European soil. In Spain three years ago she delivered the goods and now she's part of the fairytale again.

Carlota Ciganda sends her eagle putt across the 16th green. She has her hands in the air, she thinks this in and the winning point that takes Europe across the 14½ point threshold required.

But the ball sidles past the hole.

Jennifer Kupcho has a birdie putt from 15 feet that simply must drop. It doesn't. The hole, the match, and the Solheim Cup is conceded.

And that truly is the winning moment!

Team Europe's Lottie Woad on the winning moment: "I didn't know it was to win. I thought Carlota's [Siganda] match was for it to win. It was probably long but it felt a lot longer.

"It was really important. I was pretty disappointed. I felt like I was playing good golf and letting everyone down, then the captain spoke to me and said there was a stat that I was third on birdies, so I was playing good golf and I had to trust that. It ends up with me getting the winning putt."

On when she realised she was hitting the winning putt: "Not until after but I knew it was to win my match."
