I spotted this on my way off the Royal Portrush links at about 10pm last night.
It struck me as a metaphor for the broken dreams of the 86 players that didn't make the halfway cut, while also being a reminder of the heavy rain that lashed down on Friday afternoon.
There were maybe three really heavy downpours for the later wave to contend with, of which our leader Scottie Scheffler and second-placed Matt Fitzpatrick dealt with so admirably.
Just 70 players left standing. Will anyone emerge from the pack?
