Ouch. What is going on with George Russell?

That is very poor, and he wasn't great in FP1 either.

The lap looked clean but it was slow.

Alpine's Franco Colapinto has put in a great lap and gets his car in the top five, just ahead of George Russell.

Whatever gremlin was in Kimi Antonelli's car earlier today, it has put itself to bed.

Atonelli, Max Verstappen and Isack Hadjar are the top three and on the soft tyre, so they will go quicker, but that was mightly impressive by Antonelli - nearly half a second quicker than Verstappen.

Where has he pulled that from?

  8. Postpublished at 16:25 BST

The top three of Kimi Antonelli, Max Verstappen, Isack Hadjar, the two Ferraris, Alex Albon and Sergio Perez have the red soft tyres bolted on.

Everyone else is on the medium compounds.

The Red Bulls have found some speed in their cars now.

Isack Hadjar takes the top spot but only for a short time. Max Verstappen pips him to the top of the leaderboard.

Kimi Antonelli is having none of that and slots himself back to the top, with a lap time of 1:45.944.

If Sainz becomes too frustrated with Williams, could he try Alpine? Franco Colapinto is still a Williams contracted driver, he could return there and develop with the team. He's younger, he has the time that Sainz does not. He didn't join Williams to fight for P14.

Kimi Antonelli continues to be the fastest out on track.

  18. 'Weather at Spa can be a challenge for drivers'published at 16:09 BST

There will be a lot of weather chat - it aways dominates the weekend at Spa.

It's the longest circuit on the calendar, 7.004km, so it's very possible - and definitely does happen - that you can have rain on one corner or one portion of the track, and then somewhere else it's completely dry.

It throws up quite the challenge for the drivers.

Everyone has matching yellow medium tyres on.

Carlos Sainz was on a fast lap but gets on to the radio to complain about Sergio Perez who got in his way.

  20. Postpublished at 16:05 BST

Twenty-one cars are out on the track in Spa. Just Oscar Piastri who is still in the garage.

Valtteri Bottas' Cadillac is the first to set a lap time in second practice.

There is a flurry of fast lap times but it is currently Kimi Antonelli who is at the top of the leaderboard. 1:46.911 on the board for the Italian.
