    He's now gone fastest in his Mercedes with a 1:07.657.

    Kimi Antonelli was the fastest man on track in first practice earlier.

    And he's just split the two McLarens, as he goes second fastest in his Mercedes with a 1:08.198.

    Easy to work out how far he is behind Norris after the reigning world champion set a flat 1:08.000 fastest time earlier on.

    Mike: In response to Dan. Hamiltion's strong tracks don't favour the Ferrari, as they are more suited to the Mercedes and McLaren. Doesn't matter how good Hamilton is around them if the car won't perform there. We all know Ferrari is weak on straights.

    Ian: I do not think Hamilton will have the reliability in the Ferrari to sustain a real challenge for a whole season.

    George Russell's Mercedes needed some attention earlier but he's got out and has set the third fastest time of the session with a 1:08.416, just over four tenths off Lando Norris.

    Speaking of Norris, he's just had an off at turn three, having lost the rear headed into the apex.

    He's also caught the yellow sausage kerb there, for his trouble.

    Charles Leclerc stepped aside in FP1 with Dino Beganovic stepping into his Ferrari.

    The Monegasque driver sets a 1:09.320, making him seventh fastest.

    The medium tyre is the tyre of choice for this session with Ollie Bearman, the Audis of Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto, Franco Colapinto and Esteban Ocon opting for the hard tyre this afternoon.

    Talking about seats and feeling comfortable. When you first sit in it, you won't feel a problem. But when you have done a good few laps and under those g-forces and you're really physically being thrown around the car, you'll start to feel those pressure points very, very quickly.

    Sergio Perez has a new electrical control unit in his Cadillac after he broke down at the tail end of FP1 which caused a red flag.

    Speaking of issues with cars, Arvid Lindblad and George Russell are both confined to the garage at the minute while Racing Bulls and Mercedes deal with some issues in the early stages of this session.

    Lando Norris heads top of the tree inside the opening five minutes with a flat 1:08.000.

    He's shortly followed by his McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri who's 0.249 seconds behind with his hot lap moments later.

    Not a bad showing from the lads in papaya. Particularly Norris, who had a torrid time with mechanical issues pegging back his session earlier.

    Meanwhile Lewis Hamilton's had a bit of a moment into turn one and has locked up.
