Damon Hill 1996 world champion on BBC Radio 5 Live in Monaco
This is going to be very interesting, they're going to get the information on what sort of pace Lewis can have now with hard tyres. They are durable enough to do the distance, we know that because this track is not really abrasive. What it does mean is that you can push the car a bit more harder, I am very keen to see what lap times he is doing and of course Mercedes will be looking closely to see what pace he has got.
Mercedes have made the call - George Russell has pitted from behind Isack Hadjar. The Briton takes on the hard compound and comes out in eighth, just behind Lando Norris.
Lando Norris is toiling away in eighth place, trying to find a way past the Alpine of Pierre Gasly. The world champion can almost get close enough to make a move but the with space at a premium in Monaco, he'll have to stay in position for yet another lap.
Ferrari buzz Lewis Hamilton to come in to pit. The seven-time world champion shoots in, takes on the hard compound and heads back out in third place, behind Ferrari team-mate Charles Leclerc.
Isack Hadjar cuts the chicane at Turn 10 - is this George Russell's chance? The Red Bull stays ahead, but Russell is on the Mercedes radio to flag his concerns.
There are other cars on track, but this battle for fourth between George Russell and Isack Hadjar is the blockbuster draw. There's no let-up for the young Frenchman but another lap goes by and Russell continues to be frustrated.
The Mercedes' front wing of George Russell almost brushes the rear of the Red Bull of Isack Hadjar but the promise of a potential overtake doesn't materialise.
'It is painful for us' - Verstappenpublished at 14:38 BST 7 June

Max Verstappen speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live after his race ended on the first lap: "We think there was an engine problem, a bit too hard to know at the moment what it was exactly, They have to open it up but it is painful for us. We had a really good weekend up until now, to come away with zero points is not what we want.
"The formation lap was a bit off in terms of power delivery. The big problem was during the pre-start when lights were on, it was not finding the start already because the engine was going up and down. After that it dropped dead and that was it."
While Isack Hadjar and George Russell are grappling for fourth, Lando Norris and Pierre Gasly are doing the exact same thing over seventh place. The Alpine of Gasly has it, the McLaren of world champion Norris wants it.
Kimi Antonelli is cruising out in front, eight seconds clear of Lewis Hamilton, while his Mercedes team-mate George Russell is trying every trick in the book to force Isack Hadjar into a mistake.
But it's not happening. Hadjar is fourth, Russell is behind.

The difference in Monaco that they have made for this race is that you can't use the straight line mode with the aero, there is no DRS as well but you can use overtake mode. You get a little bit more power along the straights.
It's a cat-and-mouse chase between Isack Hadjar and George Russell. The two come out of the tunnel and head through the chicane but by some miracle, the Red Bull of Hadjar is holding on.
A slight twitch by Isack Hadjar in his Red Bull but still there is no gap for George Russell to squeeze his Mercedes through. Hadjar stays fourth, Russell waits to attack again in fifth.
