Plymouth Argyle have signed defender Wes Harding on a permanent deal.
The 29-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Argyle from Millwall, making 15 appearances.
He was released by the Championship side at the end of the season and has agreed a two-year deal after moving on a free transfer.
Harding, who has also had spells at Birmingham City and Rotherham United, will also be Argyle's vice-captain for the 2026-27 season.
"He brings an abundance of experience, quality and leadership that we all saw during the second half of the season, helping the team improve significantly," Argyle manager Tom Cleverley told the club website., external
"We value what Wes will bring both on and off the pitch, which is one of the reasons we have named him as the club's vice-captain."
Director of football Derek Adams said: "It is very pleasing to have another player signed up so early in the summer, and it is someone we are very familiar with, from his time with us on loan.
"We all saw what Wes brought us on the field at the end of last season, when we finished so strongly, and Tom's decision to make him vice-captain shows how much he is valued in the dressing room as well."
