The Dundee striker was only a couple of yards away, had his arm slightly away from his body, but the ball was going away from goal and he could do nothing to get out of the way of it.

Rangers moved to within three points of Scottish Premiership leaders Hearts thanks to a narrow victory at managerless St Mirren.
Tuur Rommens' first goal for the Ibrox club proved to be the difference between the sides, tapping home an excellent cross from Nico Raskin on 31 minutes.
Rangers spurned several chances to extend their lead, but always looked comfortable defensively and saw the game out for a potentially vital three points.
After Celtic beat Motherwell and Hearts lost at Kilmarnock on Saturday, the league's top three have bunched up again before the final eight matches of the season.
Rangers dominated possession from the off but struggled to create in the opening stages in a swirling Paisley wind.
However, Raskin delivered a rare moment of quality with a superb left-footed cross and Rommens ghosted in behind unaware defender Richard King to open the scoring.
Visiting striker Youssef Chermiti inexplicably volleyed wide from six yards out before half-time, and home goalkeeper Shamal George made two good saves to deny Ryan Naderi and James Tavernier after the break.
The hosts' best chance came when a loose ball fell to Mark O'Hara on the edge of the box, but he scuffed his shot straight at a Rangers defender.
St Mirren - led by caretaker manager Craig McLeish after Stephen Robinson's departure to Aberdeen earlier this week - are only above Kilmarnock in the relegation play-off spot on goal difference and trail ninth-placed Aberdeen by six points.
Analysis: Rangers find a way as Buddies fears grow
Having drawn three of their past four league outings, Danny Rohl made three changes from the side that were knocked out of the Scottish Cup by Celtic last weekend.
Much was made of their lack of cutting edge against Celtic last weekend - beaten on penalties after a goalless 120 minutes prior - and they once again struggled in the final third.
Chermiti and Naderi both struggled to get into the game and Tavernier had countless crosses headed clear by the home defence.
Mikey Moore was an ever-willing outlet and thought he had teed up a second in second-half stoppage time, but Thelo Aasgaard's finish was chalked off for a tight offside.
However, Raskin and Rommens produced the one bit of class and composure that mattered and at this stage of the season, results are more important than performances.
Rangers host Aberdeen and Dundee United next, before finishing their pre-split fixtures at Falkirk.
St Mirren were without Marcus Fraser and Keanu Baccus - who will likely miss the rest of the season through injury - and Declan John, who picked up a less serious issue in the build-up.
They join an already lengthy list of absentees and the Paisley club are still without a league win since 3 February.
With Kilmarnock's upturn under Neil McCann, particularly at home, St Mirren are at real risk of relegation after eight years in the top flight.
Despite three consecutive top-six finishes and a memorable League Cup triumph in December, they have struggled in the league all season and now have to navigate the final eight matches of the campaign without Robinson.
The new manager - whoever it may be - will have the hugely difficult task of reversing their recent form and avoiding the relegation play-off.
What they said
St Mirren caretaker manager Craig McLeish: "It was a challenging game. We equipped ourselves well.
"We tried to play in the right areas but just lacked a bit in the final third. I can't ask any more from the boys in terms of their effort.
"We know we're in a fight at the bottom, we have to now put performances together and the results will come. We have more than enough to get out of that situation."
Rangers manager Danny Rohl: "Very happy. It's a tough place to come but we did well.
"We were organised and in the end we could have scored more. Good effort, good fight.
"Today was not about winning nice, it was about the result. We move forward with eight cup finals to go. This time of the year it's all about results."
What's next?
St Mirren go to Falkirk on Saturday (15:00 GMT), while Rangers welcome Aberdeen to Govan later that day (17:45 GMT).
