Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino says "it's not my decision" how long he will have in charge of the team.

The Blues put on one of their best performances of the season in their 2-0 win over Champions League-chasing Tottenham on Thursday.

But, despite still being in contention for a place in Europe next season, it has been an inconsistent season for Pochettino's side and there have been question marks over his position at the club.

"I think enough is enough," he told Sky Sports immediately after the match, when asked about the continuing speculation surrounding his future.

• Chelsea have lost just one of their past 17 home league games against West Ham United (W12 D4), a 1-0 defeat in November 2019 under Frank Lampard.
• West Ham are looking to record just their third ever Premier League double over Chelsea after doing so in 2002-03 and 2019-20.
• Chelsea have won just one of their past 13 Premier League matches played on Sundays (D5 L7), a 3-2 win over Brighton in December this season.
• West Ham have gone 15 Premier League games without a clean sheet - last having a longer run without a shutout in the top flight between March and November 2008 (24 games).

West Ham have held talks with Julen Lopetegui and could make a decision on manager David Moyes' future before the end of the season.

Moyes has repeatedly fended off questions about whether he will remain at the club, saying talks will not take place until after their final game at Manchester City on 19 May.

While that is still the plan, BBC Sport understands there is a small possibility of West Ham reaching an earlier conclusion on Moyes’ tenure.

Talks with Lopetegui have been positive, although sources are adamant no decision has been made on Moyes and the final outcome will be what is regarded as being best for the team.

Borussia Dortmund's victory over PSG in midweek killed off any chance of a fifth English team in next season's Champions League.

It also means the recipients of the European Performance Spots - Germany and Italy - could get six teams in the expanded 36-team competition as Borussia Dortmund and Italian duo Roma and Atalanta could qualify anyway, by winning the Champions League and Europa League, respectively - with the European Performance Spot an addition on top of that.

For Premier League clubs, the situation is now clear:

• Top four go into the Champions League
• Fifth-placed team goes into the Europa League
• If Manchester United win the FA Cup, they go into the Europa League
• If Manchester City win the FA Cup, the sixth-placed team goes into the Europa League
• The next team that hasn't qualified for Europe (must be sixth or seventh) goes into the Conference League play-offs

The more I see and read about David Moyes' situation at West Ham, the more I am expecting them to shake hands and part company at the end of the season... and then they will bring him back a few months later when they are struggling.

I don't think Moyes has got enough credit for the overall job he has done at the Hammers, but with only one win in their past eight league games, their current form is not great.

This is Chelsea's second London derby of the week, and another big game for them in the battle for sixth and seventh spot. It is going to be close, but I fancy them to edge it.

Ollie Watkins has scored six goals in his past four Premier League appearances against Brighton and scored a hat-trick in Villa's 6-1 win earlier this season. It is the most goals he has netted against an opponent in the competition.

Surely a team like Manchester United have a deep enough squad to target a Europa Conference League run?

I'd say they'd have a much bigger chance of winning the Conference League title than, say, the Premier League next season.

And a trophy is a trophy, right?

• Brighton have lost their past five Premier League matches against Aston Villa by an aggregate score of 14-3. The Seagulls last suffered six defeats in a row against a side between 2019 and 2022 against Manchester United.
• Having won their past five against Brighton, Aston Villa are looking to register six consecutive Premier League wins against an opponent for the first time since between 2005 and 2010 against neighbours Birmingham City.
• Since Brighton began their maiden European campaign in this season's Europa League in September, they have won just seven of 29 Premier League matches (D11 L11). They would be 15th in a Premier League table in this time (since 21 September); they had started this season with four wins in their opening five league matches (L1) before their first Europa League match.

• Having scored in a joint league-high 39 different Premier League games in 2023, Brighton have so far failed to find the net in more games than any other side in 2024 (eight).

Brighton are on an awful run aren't they? They've had just one Premier League win since February.

And the only teams they've beaten in 2024 are Sheffield United, Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace.
