A big part of Wrexham's game are their wingbacks - Longman on the right and Thomason on the left. It's important that they try and get them forward as much as possible as the game goes on.

Wrexham are being really smart with their press so far, turning it on as soon as Chelsea try and break through midfield and seeking to pounce on any mistakes. It's been a promising enough start by the Championship outfit.

Chelsea midfielder Romeo Lavia lasted just eight minutes before breaking down in his last start, against Qarabag in the Champions League on 5 November.

In his first start in four months, he has already surpassed that, but it remains unlikely he will play more than 45 minutes as he continues his return from his latest calf injury.

At Stamford Bridge, the mission among the coaching staff is simply to keep Lavia on the pitch.

In other shock news, defender Jorrel Hato is playing as a no8 or no10 from his early movements.

George Dobson stayed with Pedro Neto.

Dobson had to get the tackle in as Neto was just looking to get his shot away.

Wrexham are not afraid to press high. There is that space in there for Chelsea because Wrexham are pressing so many men forward.

Liam Delap does well as he receives a pass, swivels and then sets his side away into the Wrexham half.

Pedro Neto drives in from the right flank but George Dobson does brilliantly to make a recovering tackle before the Portugal winger can get his shot away on the edge of the box.

Wrexham want them to kick it long and they will feel confident that they will win the first ball.

Wrexham get after Chelsea as the visitors knock the ball around at the back, with Max Cleworth stepping up to stick a tackle in.

Play is then briefly paused to allow the players observing Ramadan to break their fast.

Chelsea have had about 80% of the ball so far and made 93 passes to Wrexham's 23 after five minutes. The Blues look focused on their task, but haven't managed to create a chance of note yet.

Chelsea appear to be lining up with five defenders, suggesting a 3-4-3 system similar to the one Liam Rosenior used at Strasbourg.

However, Chelsea have not used that shape since Mauricio Pochettino was head coach, and the warm-ups indicate a back four may be in place.

Jorrel Hato may step into central midfield, as he is warming up with the forwards, while a back four of Josh Acheampong, Mamadou Sarr, Tosin Adarabioyo and Benoît Badiashile have been involved in a separate shape session.

If anything, it seems Chelsea will stick with their usual system, with Hato operating in an unfamiliar role.

The Racecourse Ground is ROCKING at the start of this one.
