As a Chelsea fan seeing a lot of top quality players heading for the exit is not good news - Reiten, Macario, Kerr and also Bright retiring. I genuinely expect a mediocre 26/27 and have little faith in the manager, her tactics and substitutions.

Leicester only winning two WSL games, both at home. Be very nice if we get a first away win of the season on the last day.

    Jack, Leicester

You could do with one couldn't you, Jack? Be nice to go into that relegation play-off next week with good vibes.

On the moment that stood out in Man City's title charge:

The 5-1 thrashing of Chelsea stood out to me because no-one had really beaten them like that for a long, long time. When you are beating a top team with a big disparity like that, it stands out.

Brighton boss Dario Vidosic speaking to the BBC Women's Football Weekly podcast: "[Belief] is something I have tried to talk to them about from the very first time. I remember last year we went to the Emirates, and the girls were probably thinking ‘who’s this crazy guy saying: 'let’s go player for player, let’s play out from the back’.

We tried to instill a belief, it doesn’t matter who you play against that we can look them in the eyes and say ‘we’re here, we’re ready to play some football’, and I am hoping now we have got that belief.

London City Lionesses manager Eder Maestre has said Natalia Arroyo is a "very important person in his life" and he will thank her when they face each other in their final WSL game of the season.

Aston Villa boss Arroyo will reunite with Maestre, who was her assistant at former club Real Sociedad for three seasons, when they travel to Bromley this weekend.

"I spent maybe some of my best years in my professional career with her. It was amazing. She is a friend and I'm very excited to face her," said Maestre.

"I really appreciate all the things and all the information that was around me. She put me in a good place to gain my contract with CD Tenerife Femenino.

"It's something that I am always going to be very pleased about and I am going to take advantage of the situation to say thank you for her in front of everybody."

There's been plenty of debate around what position best suits Arsenal forward Alessia Russo this season.

Nine or 10? Well, the numbers show that she is the perfect all-rounder, offering crucial goals and assists for the Gunners, particularly on the road.

She's been directly involved in more away goals (11 – scored six, assisted five) than any other player in the WSL this season.

  16. Spurs' best-ever season already securedpublished at 12:53 BST 16 May

    Brighton v Tottenham (13:00 BST)

Tottenham Hotspur are already guaranteed a joint-best finish in the WSL, also ending the 2021-22 campaign in fifth.

They are 13 points better off than last season when they came second bottom.

Spurs beat London City Lionesses 2-1 at home in their last Women's Super League match to snap a four-match winless streak and will look to end the season on a high at the Amex.

West Ham captain Katrina Gorry will also play her final game for the club against WSL champions Manchester City today.

The 33-year-old Australia international has made more than 50 appearances since joining in January 2024.

It is understood West Ham offered Gorry a new contract, but the midfielder chose to decline in the best interests of her family.

While at West Ham, Gorry has used her platform to discuss motherhood in women's football, eating disorders and going through IVF (in vitro fertilization).

Last year Gorry featured in all of West Ham's WSL matches as they set their highest points tally.

In 2025-26, she has made 18 appearances in all competitions and helped Australia reach the Women's Asian Cup final.

Full-back Katie McCabe will make her 306th and final Arsenal appearance today.

She has been one of the club's greatest players in a glittering 11 year spell, playing a key role in winning the WSL title in 2019, the Champions League in 2025, the Champions Cup in 2026, as well as the FA Cup and three League Cups.

Such was the late timing of her farewell she didn't get the same send off as fellow legend Beth Mead at the Emirates on Wednesday, but she does get the chance to lead the side out at Anfield this afternoon.

  20. Farewell to Kerrpublished at 12:51 BST 16 May

Chelsea v Man Utd (13:00 BST)

It will surely be an emotional day at Stamford Bridge today as Sam Kerr says farewell to the club where she has scored 115 times in 157 appearances and won 11 major trophies across her six-and-a-half years with the club.

The 32-year-old announced earlier this week that she will leave Chelsea at the end of the season.

Kerr has twice won the Golden Boot and was the WSL Player of the Season in 2022 and the PFA Fans' Player of the Year award winner in 2021 and 2022.

Her future is unknown, but sources close to the player have suggested a return to the NWSL in the USA is on the cards.

Australian broadcaster 10 News reported last month that Kerr had agreed a move to Denver Summit - although the striker dismissed it on social media at the time.
