Ellie: All the talk has been about Chelsea but can we talk about Will Mannion? He’s kept Charlton in this with a respectable scoreline. Great performance by him, good performance by Charlton overall. Hopefully they’ll take this into their league games.

Phillip: As someone who remembers the Curbishley days it’s good to see The Valley at full capacity playing a Premier League team again. We may lose but it’s been a tough few years but we are back in the Championship and hopefully the long overdue return to the Premier League beckons.

Liam Rosenior is not going to be judged on how he does against Charlton.
He is going to judged on how he does against decent teams in the Champions League, against Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool, Aston Villa, those are the teams that he will be judged against so we will have to see.
What he has got is what looks like a good start. He has got a great month with a lot of games where he can see a lot of players. Four home league games, two away league games and one of them is Wolves who haven't had a great season so far.
There's no easy route, but this is as friendly as it could be.

This is the first meeting between Charlton and Chelsea since a February 2007 Premier League encounter, won 1-0 by the Blues. The Addicks have lost eight of their last 11 in all competitions against their London rivals (W1 D2).
Chelsea have faced Charlton twice before in the FA Cup, winning both games 3-0 – in the fourth round in 1962-63 and the third round in 1994-95.
Charlton Athletic have been eliminated in each of their last five FA Cup third round ties, last progressing to the fourth round in the 2013-14 campaign, knocking out Oxford United in a replay.
Chelsea have progressed from 61 of their last 63 FA Cup ties against sides from a lower division, including their last 22 in a row. The two exceptions in this 63-tie sequence were against Barnsley in the 2007-08 quarter-final and in the 2014-15 fourth round against Bradford City.
