This is the joint-biggest defeat for Pep Guardiola as a manager. He also lost 4-0 to Everton in 2017 and Barcelona in the Champions League in 2016 - and with Bayern Munich against Real Madrid in 2014.

Usual saddos out in force crowing because a City side that have had up to 10 players out at any one time recently lost again. They’re still second, despite a horrific injury run so what does that say for most of your teams? What’s your excuse?

If Ange Postecoglou can get some more consistent performances from his team they can be a big threat. Feels like a big if though.

That's the best and most mature performance I have seen under Ange Postecoglou. They went in with a lead and second half they were very mature and defended like a unit.
That was an excellent textbook away performance.
We know Man City are not themselves at the moment, but it's an incredible performance.
Man City didn't have the answers today, they were knocking at the door, but they couldn't find the answers.
They are off-colour, Man City.

Manchester City have won just three of their last 10 Premier League games against Tottenham (D2 L5) and are looking to win consecutive meetings with them for the first time since April 2019.
Tottenham have scored at least twice in each of their last three Premier League away games against Man City, winning 3-2 in 2021-22, losing 4-2 in 2022-23 and drawing 3-3 last season. No team has ever scored multiple goals in four consecutive Premier League visits to the Citizens.
