  1. 'Isak is a top striker'published at 16:27 GMT 30 November 2025

    FT: West Ham 0-2 Liverpool

    Liverpool

Liverpool manager Arne Slot, speaking to BBC MOTD: "A win and that was what we mainly needed and we got a clean sheet as well which is always helpful. Not giving anything away to the other team as a gift as we have done far too many times this season. The other team hardly created a chance except in the final minute through [Jarrod] Bowen."

"West Ham made it a difficult game for us but we did very well defensively. The good thing was that they only had one chance.

On Alexander Isak: "He is a top striker. This finish was very good. I kept him in just long enough for him to get a goal for the team and himself."

On dropping Mohamed Salah: "We play a lot of games. In 10 days we played four. These players are such quality players. Mo has been so important for the club and will be so important for the club so let's see what happens on Wednesday [against Sunderland]."

  2. 'Quality of Mount never in doubt'published at 16:24 GMT 30 November 2025

FT: Crystal Palace 1-2 Man Utd

    Manchester United

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes, speaking to BBC MOTD: "First half we were a bit slow with the ball and played to their strengths. We weren't good with the second balls and they were waiting for that.

"We changed in the second half and became stronger on second balls and stronger on the ball."

On the goals from Mason Mount and Joshua Zirkzee: "They were unbelievable goals. I didn't think Joshua could score from that angle but I know his qualities. We did something exactly the same in training and today he repeated it. I'm very proud of how he finished it.

"Strikers live for goals. Joshua is not that type of player because he likes to build-up, turn and serve his team-mates. But scoring does give a lot of confidence."

On Mount scoring two Premier League goals in a season for the first time at Manchester United: "It's not important. Mason is a great player and gives assists also.

"The quality of Mason was never in doubt for his team-mates. Sometimes he struggled a bit for goals and assists but he works so hard for the team. Mason is important, he's struggling with injuries but when he gets his fitness he is important."

  3. 'I want the fanbase to keep believing'published at 16:22 GMT 30 November 2025

    FT: Aston Villa 1-0 Wolves

    Wolves

Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen, speaking to Sky Sports: "First of all, I'm really disappointed because we deserved more. The last two games, I think we played two really good first halves. I deserve a goal, the team deserves a goal. The quality from them stops us. It's just really annoying and I'm lost for words. We did a really good game, maybe the best of the season. It's the first time I'm feeling fresh again since my injury.

"The staff have been excellent, they've come in with energy. Conceding a screamer from outside the box is not anyone's fault. We are really unlucky. Luck will come when you play good and hopefully it will turn a bit for us now. It's not an easy situation to be in and it affects our lives. We're big lads and we're trying our best. I want the fanbase to keep believing.

"We showed up today. We were the best team for most of the game. Things are going against us now. It looks like sometimes they give it offside and sometimes not when someone is in front of the goalie. We need to keep going and believe in ourselves."

  4. 'A significant moment' - Slot on Isak's first league goalpublished at 16:20 GMT 30 November 2025

    FT: West Ham 0-2 Liverpool

    Liverpool

Liverpool boss Arne Slot, speaking to Sky Sports: "There's definitely a feeling of relief because if you have lost so many times then winning is important. We hardly conceded a chance. We were able to create chances ourselves. In other games we gave away a lot more than we did today.

"It helps if you don't go 1-0 down after five minutes because then you are more open. We played the game I wanted us to play.

"What I saw meant a lot to our players and our fans. The fans had to travel a long way to suport a team that has been performing poorly. On Wednesday we face Sunderland. It's a very busy schedule for everyone. This is a good first step for us - that we won and had a clean sheet."

On if Alexander Isak's first Premier League goal for Liverpool is a significant moment: "Yep, i think it does [feel significant]. I wasn't planning to give him many more minutes [before bringing him off].

  5. 'Atmosphere helped'published at 16:17 GMT 30 November 2025

    FT: Aston Villa 1-0 Wolves

    Aston Villa

Aston Villa goalscorer Boubacar Kamara, speaking to Sky Sports: "We knew before the game that this was a special game for the fans and the team. We know how we are in the table so we have to keep progressing. It's an important three points.

"The first half they played very well, defended strongly and attacked well. In the second half we kept the ball better and the atmosphere helped."

On changes Unai Emery asked for at half-time: "He wanted us to play with the ball more."

On his goal: "I controlled it well and thought 'let's try'."

On Aston Villa scoring from outside the box again: "Some players have good ability to shoot from outside the box. Sometimes the game is tight and the midfielder or defender tries to make something special. It's not always cross, cross, cross."

  6. 'Sometimes you need to win a bit ugly'published at 16:15 GMT 30 November 2025

    FT: Nott'm Forest 0-2 Brighton

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton's Maxim de Cuyper, speaking to Sky Sports: "Excellent win. I think this one is one the team did. We knew we have a lot of quality but if you don't work you don't get anything.

On playing further forward: "When I was younger I played a lot there so it was a bit weird in the beginning to play there again. I'm happy. I was in the right place at the right time so a very good feeling to score."

On what is possible for Brighton this season: "I don't know. Let's go week by week. It's very cliché but it's like this. You never know, it can go really good, we're on a good track now so let's continue."

Defender Lewis Dunk: "I think it was probably the best football we've played all season for the first 20 minutes. Then they changed their press and we couldn't quite get to grips with it. I think in the first half we were the better side and then in the second half we just had to dig deep. We probably need to keep the ball a bit better in the second half but sometimes you need to win a bit ugly and that's what we did today."

On Nottingham Forest being tougher under Sean Dyche: "They've changed the manager and picked up some big results so we knew it was going to be tough. We had a lot to resolve from last year and we managed to do it."

A much better set up for Liverpool today. They were much more solid and it suited both Wirtz and Isak who, in turn, both had their best games to date. Hopefully Slot sticks with this new formation for the next few games.

    Keith, Leeds

The real plus for Slot will be the clean sheet, something they seem to have forgotten how to acquire as a team!

    Richard, Retford

  8. Paqueta red card made it more difficultpublished at 16:12 GMT 30 November 2025

    FT: West Ham 0-2 Liverpool

    West Ham United

West Ham's Mateus Fernandes, speaking to Sky Sports: " They're a good team with a lot of quality. We need to be more consistent. It was a difficult game for us. We tried to play counter-attack and did well. Second half...when Lucas weas sent off it was more difficult for us.

"No I don't think [we've gone backwards]. We have quality in the squad to win much more games."

Liverpool striker Alexander Isak speaking to Sky Sports: "We knew it was going to be difficult to get back to winning ways after our recent form. Happy that we won and happy to be on the scoresheet as well."

On the first half: "When you are going through tough times as a team, it is about fighting. The boys did really well."

On scoring his first Premier League goal for Liverpool: "I'm aware that it has been a long time coming and I have been trying to get back to my best form. I'm still on the way but I am happy to get that goal. The best feeling today is that we win the game and that is the best way to get a good spirit in the group but of course I am a striker so scoring goals will always help me. We have to use this win in a good way but also be humble. We have to stay focused and keep working hard to keep this momentum."

  11. 'Villa did it without really playing too well'published at 16:08 GMT 30 November 2025

    FT: Aston Villa 1-0 Wolves

    Marc Albrighton
Former Aston Villa midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live at Villa Park

A huge result which sends Aston Villa into third place and keeps this run of victories on their home patch going - and they did it without really playing too well.

Wolves were fantastic in the first half, they really turned up. They had chances to win the game but Emi Martinez kept Villa in it.

From a neutral point of view, it has been a fantastic game.

  12. 'Deserved win'published at 16:05 GMT 30 November 2025

    FT: West Ham 0-2 Liverpool

    Clinton Morrison
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at London Stadium

Liverpool needed the win and they needed Isak to get his first Premier League goal - it might give him confidence.

It wasn't vintage Liverpool that we've seen over the past few seasons but it's not about that, it's about getting the three points. They were the better team and you just wondered if they'd get the first goal and once they got it, they got the second through Paqueta's stupidity to leave his team down to 10 men. Deserved win for Liverpool.

  13. 'McGinn has exerted every bit of energy'published at 16:05 GMT 30 November 2025

    FT: Aston Villa 1-0 Wolves

    Marc Albrighton
Former Aston Villa midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live at Villa Park

A fantastic performance once again from John McGinn.

He looks like he has exerted every bit of energy he had in him before the game. He looked so fresh-faced when he came out, looking at that tifo of him on the Holte End, but he looks a far cry from that now.

Zero attempts on target and the most foolish red card you're likely to see. A really poor performance by West Ham who go to Manchester United on Thursday.
