1. Massive boost for Rangerspublished at 20:56 GMT 27 November 2025

It looked worrying for Rangers when Braga had two great early chances. Jack Butland was at his best for both and allowed the home side to gradually impact up the other end.

The visitors definitely looked more troubled as half-time approached with some consistent pressure applied.

The reward came with that handball from Fran Navarro. James Tavernier did the rest. A Europa League lifeline that was badly needed.

It's him again, it's that talisman at right-back, James Tavernier.

The amount of penalties he's taken, you're always confident he can do it - especially on these big occasions. He's done it so many times before.

It doesn't need to be perfect in the corner. It hits the back of the net all the same.

    Perfect time to score.

  3. HALF-TIME Aberdeen 1-0 Noahpublished at 20:53 GMT 27 November 2025

Kevin Nisbet's goal has Aberdeen ahead in what Jimmy Thelin called a "must win" game.

It was a largely forgettable first half, but Nisbet's clinical finishing would make it all worthwhile.

While Aberdeen struggled to threaten, neither did Noah really. Hopefully a better second half to come.

Noah break forward and Topi Keskinen brings down the attacker. Into the book goes the Fin.

Helder Ferreira curls for the top corner, and Dimitar Mitov tips wide.

GOAL Aberdeen 1-0 Noahpublished at 20:48 GMT 27 November 2025

    Kevin Nisbet

Aberdeen break the deadlock before half-time.

Just after Noah had gone up the pitch and tested Dimitar Mitov, Aberdeen break. Topi Keskinen shoves the defender off the ball and tees up Nisbet, who swivels and fires past the keeper.

Incredibly, that's his first goal of the season - his first in 19 games.

  8. PENALTY to Rangerspublished at 20:47 GMT 27 November 2025

    Rangers 0-0 Braga

The referee goes to the monitor after hearing from his mate that Fran Navarro has handled the ball at that recent Rangers corner.

Aye, you're not getting away with that in a Uefa game.

  9. Chermiti looks 'low on confidence'published at 20:46 GMT 27 November 2025

    Rangers 0-0 Braga

    Andy Halliday
Former Rangers midfielder on BBC Sportsound

For me it's just a striker that's low on confidence. Doesn't quite seem to have the goalscoring instinct. You're not going to have many better opportunities.

A Connor Barron cross reaches Youssef Chermiti at the back stick, but his touch is poor and it's hooked away for a corner.

The set-piece is cleared out to the edge of the box and Danilo skies high into the Govan sky.

Coming up to the end of the first half here, and we've had a shot apiece - neither of them memorable enough to merit a mention.

A tiring first half at Pittodrie for the wrong reasons.

  12. Way better from Rangerspublished at 20:41 GMT 27 November 2025

Finally something for the home fans to get behind.

Danilo's chance seems to have sparked a bit of life in the final third and the crowd is responding.

A bit more like it from Rangers bringing cause for optimism.

  13. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 20:40 GMT 27 November 2025

    Rangers 0-0 Braga

Djeidi Gassama takes a little nudge in the air in the box and hits the turf hard.

He wants a penalty for that. The referee and the VAR aren't getting involved.

It opens up perfectly for Rangers, but a simple pass from Mohamed Diomande is under-hit and Danilo scuffs his finish straight at the keeper.

That has to be a goal.

Adil Aouchiche is now down with a head knock. Not hit by a stray Noah arm though, but by the ball, fired into the back of his neck.

He's been down for a while here. Taken the tempo out of an already slow game.

  19. Toothless up top so far for home sidepublished at 20:31 GMT 27 November 2025

    Rangers 0-0 Braga

    Martin Dowden
    BBC Sport Scotland at Ibrox

There is a glaring lack of threat from Rangers so far.

They've managed to hold Braga at arms length after early scares but are really struggling to test Lukas Hornicek's goal.

Given the need for three points, you'd expect a little more intensity but perhaps it's down to being wary of Braga's threat on the counter.

Very little to report from Ibrox in the past five minutes or so.

Ally McCoist has just described the game as "scrappy". Accurate.
