  1. Kayembe off the markpublished at 17:23 GMT 22 November 2025

Before Watford's Edo Kayembe scored twice in three minutes in the final stages at Pride Park today, the DR Congo international had failed to score for club or county this season.

Talk about an impressive way to get into the scoring groove!

  2. 'A lack of discipline affected the result'published at 17:22 GMT 22 November 2025

    FT: Coventry 3-2 West Brom

    West Bromwich Albion

West Brom let a 2-0 lead slip and had Jayson Molumby sent off as Coventry roared back to take all three points at lunchtime.

West Brom boss Ryan Mason told BBC WM:

"We played a really good first half, created some excellent moments, showed good personality and quality as well, and scored two really good goals.

"But at this level - and I think at any level - if you go down to 10 men then it's going to be very hard.

"We weren't able to get through that initial period after we went down to 10 men, the crowd were up, they were able to get some momentum and were getting in our box a lot.

"We stayed in the game and gave ourselves a chance to get something out of it but didn't really create anything from some of the set plays that we had.

"It was a lack of discipline in that moment (by Jayson), it's affected the result and it's something we need to learn from as a group."

  3. 'We fully deserved it in the end'published at 17:18 GMT 22 November 2025

It was quite a comeback by Coventry as they came from 2-0 down to maintain their unbeaten home record against 10-man West Brom.

Coventry head coach Frank Lampard told BBC CWR:

"Even at 2-0, my feeling was we can definitely get back in this, the way we were moving the ball.

"You're going to get tested, you can't play this many games in a season and have it all your own way, or not expect a team like West Brom to have the quality to capitalise on moments.

"I think we fully deserved it in the end, and from being 2-0 down, that shows the level of resilience in the group.

"I believed at half-time that we wouldn't lose the game against 11 because of the way we finished the first half, Josh's goal was great for him from not having played so much.

"And it was Josh's turn which gets the second clear yellow card, which was a red - a shame for them but at the same time it was good play from us, but then you've got to deal with 10 men which is a challenge because they sink, but we gave them real problems because we moved the ball to the sides great and did everything we wanted to do."

  5. A big day for Coventrypublished at 17:13 GMT 22 November 2025

Coventry's day started well as they came from 2-0 down to beat 10-man West Brom but it got even better as Middlesbrough dropped points in a draw at Oxford and Stoke lost at Leicester.

Bristol City jump into the top six with their victory over Swansea.

Oxford's point moves them four clear of trouble and Portsmouth gave themselves some breathing space by beating Millwall.

Norwich's 4-1 loss at Birmingham means they're now five points adrift of safety.

  7. Next up for Boro... Coventrypublished at 17:09 GMT 22 November 2025

    FT: Middlesbrough 1-1 Oxford

    Adam Whitty
    BBC Final Score

Middlesbrough are not lacking effort or endeavour, but really, they didn't pose too much of a threat to Oxford - they did not look the best part of 20 places apart.

Oxford started well but faded, their poor run of form - now one win in six - continues. Middlesbrough now though are seven points off Coventry at the top of the Championship.

They're on a run of one win in five. Next for them, Coventry. That might be one hell of a baptism of fire for the man we expect to take charge of Boro, Kim Hellberg.

  8. 'They've got a system'published at 17:08 GMT 22 November 2025

    FT: Birmingham 4-1 Norwich

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

Stansfield is up to nine goals for the season, good for him before his 23rd birthday on Monday.

Marvin Ducksch looked a real presence getting two goals as well.

They've got a system at the moment that is proving to be pretty irresistible.

  9. 'It's getting worse'published at 17:05 GMT 22 November 2025

    FT: Birmingham 4-1 Norwich

    Chris Goreham
    BBC Radio Norfolk commentator

Norwich haven't won since August and we're nearly in December.

It's getting worse rather than better.

Watford have done it! They battled back from 2-0 down to triumph 3-2 against a Derby side that seemed to be closing in on a sixth straight victory.

Luca Kjerrumgaard's goal just after the hour mark was a lifeline for the Hornets after Dion Sanderson and Sondre Langas efforts put Derby in control.

Two goals in three minutes from Edo Kayembe, which included a penalty to level things up, delivered a truly remarkable victory.

The game at Pride Park is still going, and Watford are looking to put the result beyond doubt.

Nestory Irankunda tests Rams goalkeeper Jacob Widell Zetterstrom with a free kick.

There is only minutes left. Can Derby snatch a draw right at death?

  12. 'The yellows stuck together'published at 17:01 GMT 22 November 2025

    FT: Oxford 1-1 Middlesbrough

    Peter Rhoades-Brown
Former Oxford and Chelsea winger on BBC Radio Oxford

The possession side of it favoured the reds, but the yellows stuck together, they're a tight unit, I don't think the keeper had a save to make to be fair.

The defenders worked hard and I think the crowd appreciate what they've seen today, Cameron Brannagan going off is disappointing.

I think Boro came out organised and wanting to step it up, which they did scoring, but then looking at us we didn't want to get beaten today.

They're a quality side, you can see that with the movement and the passing, take a point and travel on Tuesday.

  13. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:59 GMT 22 November 2025

    Portsmouth 3-1 Millwall

Portsmouth end a six-game winless run.

Two stunning goals from Zak Swanson and Jordan Williams and one from Adrian Segecic gets the job done.

Millwall had Joe Bryan sent off before Mihailo Ivanovic gave them some brief hope at 2-0 when converting Aidomo Emakhu's corner.

That feels like a big win for Pompey and John Mousinho while it's now four without a win for the Lions.

    Birmingham 4-1 Norwich

Doubles from Marvin Ducksch and Jay Stansfield seal victory for Blues at St Andrew's - and provides a rough start to Philippe Clement's reign at Norwich.

The Canaries did manage to accumulate the same amounts of shots on target as their hosts but the feat of beating Blues at home proved too much for a side low on confidence and only just under new leadership.

They next face Oxford United on Tuesday and undoubtedly, Clement will have much to do before aiming for Norwich's first home win of the season.

    Leicester 2-1 Stoke

First-half goals from Stephy Mavididi and Patson Daka prove to be enough for Leicester as they hold off high-flying Stoke.

The win moves the Foxes up to 10th and to within three points of the third-placed Potters.

Just three minutes after levelling things up from the penalty spot, Edo Kayembe comes up with another goal to edge the Hornet in front. It's a brilliant header from an Imran Louza corner.

    QPR 3-2 Hull

A riveting game ends up a first win for the R's in five league games.

Hull twice let the lead slip before Rumarn Burrell slid the ball into the net for the winner.

A victory could have seen the Tigers rise to third but they remain in the top six despite the loss.

QPR enjoy their first home win since 1 October after a competitive, enjoyable match against an in-form opponent.

  20. goal

GOAL: Derby 2-2 Watfordpublished at 16:52 GMT 22 November 2025

    Edo Kayembe (pen 85 mins)

Watford equalise from the penalty spot.

Edo Kayembe sends the Derby goalkeeper the wrong way to score.

With a few minutes left at Pride Park, there is still plenty of time left for either side to win it now.
