I love the Nations League. It ensures an international champion every summer when there isn't a World Cup or Euros and improves competitiveness of international football. What's not to like?

This is the venue for tonight's UEFA Nations League Draw. The building is called Palais 3 at Brussels Expo and it's just across the road from the King Baudouin Stadium.

This will be Wales’ second crack at League A after a rather underwhelming experience back in 2022.
Rob Page’s side managed just one point from six games the last time they were in the top bracket, although the timing was hardly ideal.
The start of Wales’ campaign clashed with the build-up – and ensuing celebrations – of their World Cup play-off with Ukraine, before later games were treated as preparations for the finals themselves.
No such issues this time.

In the top three leagues, teams have been ranked across four pots based on their performance from the 2024-25 Nations League campaign.
One team from each pot will then be drawn into groups of four in each league, determining each campaign's fixtures.
For League D, two groups of three teams will be drawn, with only six teams in League D compared to the 16 in each of the top three leagues.

The venue for this evening's Nations League draw is north of Brussels city centre.
It is also right next door to one of the city's most famous landmarks called the Atomium, which was built in 1958 for the Brussels World Fair.

Image source, Getty ImagesWith the short-term attention on the World Cup, this draw in Brussels maps out the future beyond it.
England are back in League A, the top tier of the competition, as is Craig Bellamy's Wales. Both could find themselves in powerful looking groups.
England and Wales could land in the same group as could Scotland and Northern Ireland, who are both in League B.
Scotland, relegated last time, will probably want to avoid Switzerland and Austria, whilst newly promoted Northern Ireland are back in the second tier after spending two editions of the tournament in League C.
The draw is due to take place from 17:00 GMT but that's is when the ceremony begins so there's bound to be plenty of speeches and probably some random dancing.
