    Nedum Onuoha
Former Manchester City defender on MOTD: UEFA Champions League

Real Madrid haven't been great but Federico Valverde has been incredible in attack and defence. There has not been much between the teams apart from him - he has been ruthless in attack and superbly disciplined in helping Trent Alexander-Arnold in defence.

You can hear more from Onuoha on MOTD: Uefa Champions League at 22:40 GMT on BBC One and the BBC Sport website and app.

    Paul Robinson
Former Leeds goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live at Estadio Bernabeu

I cannot believe what I have seen. We talked about the opportunity that Manchester City had here and they did make the most of the weaknesses in Real's side in the first 10 minutes.

But Pep Guardiola's side have a mountain to climb now.

Rodri needs supports. Nico Gonzalez is on the bench, perhaps his combative approach is required? Pep, your call...

HT: Real Madrid 3-0 Man City

    Paul Robinson

Manchester City need to do something different. Real Madrid have grown in stature ever since their first goal.

Pep Guardiola needs to say something to his team at half-time and try something else.

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:49 GMT 11 March

    Real Madrid 3-0 Man City

Manchester City are in serious trouble. A magnificent first-half for Real Madrid and their captain, who is having the game of his life.

A very good match for the neutral, but the European champions go in with the lead at the break. Chelsea will still fancy leaving France with something though.

He is a special player is Federico Valverde. Another super finish.

Excellent play from Real Madrid on the counter-attack. Valverde had so much to do but the volley on his right foot was tremendous. What a hat-trick!

The first hat-trick of Federico Valverde's career. What a first-half for the 27 year old!

  14. goal

    GOAL - Bodo/Glimt 2-0 Sporting CPpublished at 20:46 GMT 11 March

    Ole Blomberg

    The hosts are in dreamland!

The ball falls kindly to Ole Blomberg inside the area and he makes no mistake as he caresses the ball past Rui Silva to double Bodo's lead on the stroke of half-time.

So Spurs are out. Newcastle are likely out. Liverpool lost. Arsenal grabbed a lucky draw. City and Chelsea losing. English teams are not so great in Europe!

  16. Postpublished at 20:46 GMT 11 March

    Bodo/Glimt 1-0 Sporting CP

Sporting need to get the ball to Luis Suarez more...no, not that one.

The Colombian international has been one of the most prolific forwards on the continent this season with 31 goals in 39 appearances in all competitions.

But he’s been on the periphery for most of this game, and that has to change if Sporting are to return to Lisbon with anything to show for tonight.

  17. 14 seconds to transform a matchpublished at 20:45 GMT 11 March

    Paris St-Germain 2-1 Chelsea

    Nizaar Kinsella
    BBC Sport Chelsea reporter

Cole Palmer should have scored when his tame effort was hit directly at PSG goalkeeper Matvei Safonov and then the French club needed just 14 seconds to strike back.

Ousmane Dembele exploited Chelsea committing too many players forward and got in behind, sent Wesley Fofana one way and then the other before finishing brilliantly.

It could be 2-1 Chelsea but it's PSG back in front.

  18. 'A fabulous goal'published at 20:44 GMT 11 March

    Paris St-Germain 2-1 Chelsea

    Glenn Hoddle
Former England and Tottenham manager on TNT Sports

It's a fabulous goal on the break. One minute you're thinking it's going to be Chelsea's lead with Palmer's effort and then all of a sudden, bang it's PSG.

That's the level in the Champions League, but Chelsea just have to keep playing, they're doing OK.

  19. goal

GOAL - Real Madrid 3-0 Man Citypublished at 20:44 GMT 11 March

    Federico Valverde

Manchester City are unravelling in Spain's capital!

It's the Federico Valverde show as the Real Madrid captain seals a first-half hat-trick with a quite wonderful goal.

A lovely lobbed pass by Brahim Díaz finds Valverde inside the box and his first touch - a beautiful piece of control - takes him past Marc Guehi before finishing.

    City are shell-shocked.

  20. 'Pep looking for a way back into the game'published at 20:43 GMT 11 March

    Real Madrid 2-0 Man City

    Paul Robinson
Former Leeds goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live at Estadio Bernabeu

Pep Guardiola has his hands in his pockets. He is wandering and talking to his supporting staff, looking for an answer and a way back into this game.
