    Nothing ironic about that!

Liverpool have been so wasteful when regaining possession - Kerkez, Frimpong and even the keeper playing balls straight to the opposition. To counter, they are showing good energy and the crowd is doing their bit. More composure and passing accuracy and we're still in with a shout!

  6. Better from Liverpool, but still 'leaving gaps everywhere'published at 21:05 BST 14 April

HT: Liverpool 0-0 PSG (0-2 agg)

    Robbie Fowler
Former Liverpool striker on TNT Sports

I think Liverpool have been better but there is still a bit of a mismatch. They aren't really playing how they should be playing, players are running out of position and leaving gaps everywhere.

The real positive is that it's 0-0 and they have shown that they can create chances and can get the ball in certain areas to get the goals.

It's there for them. They should go into half-time with a bit more confidence.

Liverpool have been so much better than they were in Paris last week but they're still not testing Matvei Safonov enough. There's still plenty of time in this tie but Arne Slot's side need that extra spark in the final third.

On a more sombre note, fingers crossed that Hugo Ekitike's injury isn't too serious.

If it is confirmed as an Achilles injury, as some believe it is, that is the France forward's World Cup over.

  9. Busy Vitinhapublished at 21:01 BST 14 April

HT: Liverpool 0-0 PSG (0-2 agg)

    .

Vitinha has been everywhere for PSG in the first half, leading the press and not allowing Liverpool anytime to get comfortable in midfield.

He has had 50 touches of the ball - by far the most of any player on the pitch.

It's properly chucking it down at Anfield.

Does Arne Slot make changes at the start of the second-half?

Just the one attempt on target so far - and that was a tame header by Alexander Isak in the seventh minute.

  11. 'PSG in possession have been outstanding'published at 20:58 BST 14 April

HT: Liverpool 0-0 PSG (0-2 agg)

    Julien Laurens
ESPN journalist on BBC Radio 5 Live at Anfield

In terms of intensity and what Liverpool had to do, I think they have done that. There is that big tackle from Marquinhos on the line which denies Virgil van Dijk a goal for sure. I thought PSG in possession have been outstanding under pressure, with the rain and the crowd.

Alexander Isak has had just five touches in the first half. If he does stay on after the break, Liverpool have to try and get the ball to him more. He's the sort of player that only needs a chance.

Brilliant game of football. It has been so interesting to watch tactically. The players are playing at the highest level, but we just have not had that moment of quality at either end to open up the game.

It's their own doing, again from Liverpool.

It is slippy out there, but you can't keep giving the ball back to PSG with the ability they have in forward positions. Sooner or later you are going to get punished.

They are doing alright up to now, but there are one or two problems.

  17. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:51 BST 14 April

Atletico Madrid 1-2 Barcelona (3-2 agg)

It's Ferran Torres who hits it and it's awful.

Time for a break. What a half of football we've just seen.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:50 BST 14 April

But before the half ends, Barca will have a free-kick in a great spot for an effort on goal.
