It was a really bad foul from Luamba. The referee gave it some real thought before giving him the red card. Even Boreham Wood boss Luke Garrard had his hands on his head. He knew that was a bad one.

The Carlisle substitute has been shown a straight red card for a full-blooded lunge on Zak Brunt, right on the left touchline.

It's late, high and he had left the ground. He can't have too many arguments.

After that early flurry from Carlisle it's been Wood building slowly ever since.

Seconds after the resumption Chris Conn-Clarke unleashes a dipping volley from the edge of the D after a left-wing cross was cleared but Ted Curd manages to adjust in mid-air and tip the ball onto the top of his crossbar.

He thinks he got the ball, and might have got a glance, but that is always going to be given from that angle.
