  1. 'A disappointing performance'published at 15:58 BST 3 May

    HT: Rochdale 1-0 Scunthorpe

    Steve Torpey
Former Scunthorpe striker on BBC Radio Humberside

It has been a little bit disappointing in terms of performance but it is quite cagey between the two.

Scunthorpe will need to change things.

  2. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:55 BST 3 May

    Rochdale 1-0 Scunthorpe

It's been all blood-and-thunder but Rochdale have their noses in front at the break.

Luke Hannat's low cross from the left was turned into his own net by Iron defender Will Evans after just 150 seconds to give Dale the perfect start after the dramatic finish to their final day game at York last week.

They have enjoyed plenty of pressure and conjured a couple of half-chances, however, Scunthorpe have been positive themselves and are not bowing out of this semi-final without a fight.

Dale win a corner as Will Evans turns behind a deep cross at the back stick with keeper Louis Jones rooted to his line, but they can't capitalise.

  4. 'Scunthorpe need to go for it'published at 15:54 BST 3 May

    Rochdale 1-0 Scunthorpe

    Steve Torpey
Former Scunthorpe striker on BBC Radio Humberside

Rochdale have got a mistake in them as we have seen, so Scunthorpe need to press them and just go for it a little more.

    Rochdale 1-0 Scunthorpe

Very bitty in the past few minutes with some long hit-and-hope balls from both ends of the pitch and plenty more robust challenges in midfield.

Jimmy McNulty will be very pleased with what he has seen from his team so far.

They need to be careful as to not be drawn into the verbal arguments with the Scunthorpe players.

The game has turned a little flat.

I've watched every National League team this season and Boreham Wood have been one of the best. Mark Hughes has spent a lot on new players but doesn't seem to be able to develop a number of them. Anyway, looking forward to visiting Carlisle for a weekend again next season. Such friendly fans.

    Mark, Sussex

York City fans here. Honestly, no team deserved to miss out on automatic promotion last weekend. Wishing Rochdale all the very best, hope they win today & at Wembley next week! Rematch next season in EFL please!

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 45+1 min

    Rochdale 1-0 Scunthorpe

Casey Pettit is indeed coming on for Dan Moss.

The physicality of this game is taking its toll.

We'll have NINE additional minutes at the end of the half due to all the stoppages.

  9. Postpublished at 45 mins

    Rochdale 1-0 Scunthorpe

Jean Belehouan narrowly avoids having his name taken by ref Jamie O'Conner after a really clumsy challenge on Dan Moss under a high ball.

He had his back in the direction of the ball and clattered into Moss, who has come off second best.

Could we see another enforced first-half change?

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 42 mins

    Rochdale 1-0 Scunthorpe

Big blow for the Iron before half-time.

Danny Whitehall, with 19 goals this season, is limping off to be replaced by Declan Howe.

  11. Postpublished at 41 mins

    Rochdale 1-0 Scunthorpe

Scunthorpe's Jean Belehouan swings in a deep cross from the right flank which is too high, but which stays in play.

The Frenchman is a former Amazon delivery driver but his delivery wasn't quite right then.

Danny Whitehall is the latest to get treatment in the area after a clash under that high ball.

  12. Postpublished at 39 mins

    Rochdale 1-0 Scunthorpe

Rochdale's Dan Moss has had some treatment after an awkward clash of knees on the left touchline.

He should be ok to continue, however...

  13. 'Not too much between them'published at 15:38 BST 3 May

    Rochdale 1-0 Scunthorpe

    Steve Torpey
Former Scunthorpe striker on BBC Radio Humberside

Rochdale have had the upper hand so far but there has not been too much in between them.

Scunthorpe have been mainly feeding off scraps but neither goalkeeper has been tested.

  14. Postpublished at 36 mins

    Rochdale 1-0 Scunthorpe

Real physicality to this game, with Scunthorpe's attackers living up to the 'Iron' in their nickname as they hassle and harry the blue shirts into conceding possession - Pat Jones down the left is the epitome of that at present.

Callum Roberts thinks he's through on goal after a long ball over the top but the flag goes up as his timing was a touch off.

  15. 'Rochdale have had it their own way so far'published at 15:35 BST 3 May

    Rochdale 1-0 Scunthorpe

    Calvin Andrew
Ex-Rochdale forward on BBC Radio Manchester

The width of Rochdale is going to be so important this afternoon. Those wingers and wide players can't get shy.

There is a real weakness to Scunthorpe's right side where there is space in behind which is why Rochdale have had it their own way so far.

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at 34 mins

    Rochdale 1-0 Scunthorpe

Patrick Jones is hauled down by Tobi Adebayo-Rowling and the Dale man has his name taken, in addition to conceding a dangerous free-kick, though Callum Roberts' cross is too deep and Dale are able to clear their lines.

  17. Postpublished at 31 mins

    Rochdale 1-0 Scunthorpe

Dan Moss sends a cross from the left of the area straight into the hands of keeper Louis Jones, but Dale keep coming.

Luke Hannant gets the ball in the box again and rolls into the path of Moss but his rising strike is beaten away by the keeper at his near post.

    Huge pressure from the hosts.

  18. Postpublished at 29 mins

    Rochdale 1-0 Scunthorpe

Scunthorpe's Patrick Jones shows great perseverance to win the ball on the left of the box and pounces on a ill-advised backheel in his area from Kyron Gordon but his low cut-back is nowhere near a white shirt and Dale fans breathe again.

  19. 'Chances there for Scunthorpe'published at 15:28 BST 3 May

    Rochdale 1-0 Scunthorpe

    Steve Torpey
Former Scunthorpe striker on BBC Radio Humberside

There are chances and opportunities there for Scunthorpe but they haven't taken any as of yet.

  20. Postpublished at 25 mins

    Rochdale 1-0 Scunthorpe

Lovely stuff from Dale as Luke Hannant does brilliantly on the left to thread Dan Moss into the area but his low cross, intended for Manny Dieseruvwe, is cut out by a crucial intervention.
